Freeman Asia Scholarships

Gilman International Scholarships
The applicant must be receiving a Pell Grant at time of application
or prove that he/she will receive a Pell Grant during the study
abroad term. Recipients are awarded up to $5,000 depending on
the length of the program. $3,000 supplement for students studying "critical languages". (see website) www.iie.org/gilman

WISP (Work Immersion Study Program in Germany)
Scholarship program for community college students includes 3 months work/study program in Germany. Applicants must have taken at least one semester of German, be 18 to 27 years old, enrolled in a community college, and majoring in a business or technical field. CBYX (Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange for Young Professionals)
The Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange (CBYX) for Young Professionals is a year-long scholarship program in business, technical, vocational and agricultural fields. Includes language study, academic courses and an internship. Applicants must be 18 to 24 years old at the start of the program and have a high school diploma or its equivalent. German language proficiency is not required, but strongly recommended. The deadline for the program beginning the following July is around December 1.
