Everett CC Community Diversity Advisory Committee 

The Community Diversity Advisory Committee advises the President on issues of diversity and serves as a link between the College and local communities of color in Snohomish County. The membership consists of representatives from diverse and cultural backgrounds who are committed to Everett Community College's mission.

Mission

To assist the President and the College in achieving greater diversity on campus, supporting the academic success of students of color, improving campus climate and enhancing external community relations.

Goals

  1. To assist EvCC in increasing and retaining the number of students, staff, and faculty of color.
  2. To advise the President and College on policies and procedures that promote awareness and understanding of racial and ethnic diversity.
  3. To help EvCC promote and create opportunities in which racial and cultural diversity are valued.
  4. To bring concerns and suggestions from Snohomish County communities of color to the President.

Everett CC Safe Zone Program Advisory Committee 

The Safe Zone Program Committee advises the President, Vice President of Student Services and the Associate Dean for Diversity on policies, programs and activities related to LGBTQA issues. Campus and community members are appointed by the Committee.

Mission 

The mission of the Everett Community College Safe Zone Program is to create an environment at Everett Community College that is free of homophobia and heterosexism. Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Questioning and Allied (LGBTQA) students, faculty and staff will feel safe, comfortable, accepted and supported by the campus community. Through an institutional commitment to education, advocacy, programs and services, Safe Zone will make our campus and the larger community more safe, hospitable and receptive to a diverse environment for all.
