Early Learning Center

Early Learning Center
EvCC on-campus child-care center

What is the Early Learning Center?
The ELC provides on-campus, NAEYC accredited, licensed childcare in an environment that is safe, nurturing and designed to meet the developmental needs of children who are between 12 months and 5 years old.

The Early Learning Center provides care for students and community families.  Current Everett Community College students who are enrolled in a minimum of 5 credits receive priority enrollment and a reduced rate.  Based on income, they may also be eligible for free preschool through ECEAP External Site Link.

What is our Philosophy?
ELC teachers respond to each child’s individual needs by providing warm and responsive communication, gentle guidance and positive learning opportunities. They model and communicate caring, respect, responsibility and appreciation of our diverse community.  Families stay involved in the care and education of their children through parent education classes and volunteering in their child’s classroom, where they also build relationships with teachers and each other.

Children at the Early Learning Center also benefit from the participation of Early Childhood Education students, Work Study participants, as well as student and community volunteers.
