Welcome to the Office of Financial Aid
Changing to Meet Demand
EvCC's Financial Aid Office has experienced unprecedented demand for Fall and Winter Quarters. To help meet this demand we are:
- Starting Nov. 2, EvCC's Financial Aid Office will be open and answering phone calls Mondays 9 am to 6:30 pm and Tuesdays 9 am to 4:30 pm. On Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, staff will be focused on evaluating student files. On those days, Student Financial Services will not be available to answer phone calls, email, or serve walk-in students. This allows us to help more students get aid more quickly.
- Financial Aid staff has worked more than 600 hours of overtime.
- Hired a new staff member, who started Sept. 1. Will add several part-time staff members.
- Working with our staff, other community colleges throughout the state and state leaders to find solutions to improve service to students statewide.
Our Challenges
Statewide, community and technical colleges are experiencing record enrollment and increasing demand for financial aid. Also, colleges are adjusting to using new financial aid software. EvCC's Financial Aid staff is working as hard as possible to serve as many students as possible.
