Important Dates and Receiving Your Aid

Important Dates

We evaluate financial aid application(s) based on the quarterly priority deadlines below. A deadline is considered met if you have applied for the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) AND paperwork requested by EvCC Financial Aid department is submitted by the date noted below (depending on your starting quarter).  The FAFSA only has to be completed on an annual basis.  If you meet the priority deadline of March 15, 2012 for 2012-13 or March 14, 2013 for 2013-14, you may be considered for maximum funding and may be eligible for a hold on your registration and/or postponement of your tuition. Contact the Financial Aid office before the tuition payment deadline, typically 5 business days after registering for classes.  Any applications completed after that quarter's priority deadline may not be reviewed in time for tuition payment.

Receiving Your Aid

Eligible applicants will be sent a Notice of Financial Aid Award by email. The award will indicate the kind of aid (grant, work-study, loans, etc.), the amount awarded from each program, and the conditions and terms of the award. Applicants who meet the March 15, 2012 or March 14, 2013 priority deadline will receive maximum funding consideration and will receive their award notices beginning June on a rolling basis. Applications received after the March 15, 2012 or March 14, 2013 priority deadline will receive notification as soon as time permits and on a funds available basis.  Please note, if you do not meet our quarterly deadline, there is no guarantee that your financial aid file will be reviewed prior to the end of the quarter.  This may affect your request for loans as well, since one-quarter loans must be certified prior to the last published date of the quarter.

Financial Aid Checks will be mailed to your current mailing address on file with Enrollment Services Office. It is your responsibility to check the accuracy of the address on file, as EvCC is not responsible for checks not received by the student.
