What is College Goal Sunday Washington?

College Goal Sunday Washington is a free, on-site program that helps students and families complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), the form that is required to apply for federal financial assistance for higher education. The FAFSA is the single-most important application for financial aid. In one day, you’ll learn how to get money for college. Learn more at www.collegegoalsundaywa.org External Site Link

What to bring?

Parents/guardians are strongly encouraged to attend with their children. Students may attend alone. However, students will need to bring as many of the parent/guardian items as possible.

Students should bring:

  • Your Social Security number and card
  • Your FAFSA PIN Number (if you have one)
  • Your alien registration card (if you are not a U.S. citizen)
  • Your driver’s license or state identification card, if you have one
  • If you are 23-years-old or younger, bring a parent/guardian and their 2011 income data (W-2's or a pay stub and/or 2011 tax return)
  • If you are 24-years-old or older, bring your 2011 income information

Parents/guardians should bring:

  • Your Social Security number and/or card
  • Your alien registration card (if you are not a U.S. citizen)
  • Your driver’s license or state identification card, if you have one
  • W-2 forms and other records of any money earned in 2011
  • Parent or guardian completed federal income tax return for 2011. If this is not available, students and families can estimate the information and make corrections to the FAFSA at a later time.
  • Current bank statements
  • Untaxed income records for 2011: Social Security, Temporary Assistance to Needy Families, welfare, or veterans benefits records
  • Business/farm and other real estate records
  • Records of any stocks, bonds and other investments

We understand that everyone will not have all of these documents. Don't let that stop you from coming! We will get started with whatever you have and fill in the blanks later. All information and documents shared with College Goal Sunday volunteers will be kept private and confidential. It will only be used to help students and families apply for financial aid.
