Requirements and Salary:
- Must be currently enrolled in 10 credit hours (unless otherwise described)
- Must currently have a quarterly and cumulative GPA of at least a 2.5.
- Salary: $9.19 per
- Hours: 12 – 16 hours per week (each position varies).

Open positions for academic year 2013-2014:
Student Government is organized into two branches: Executive Council; the executive/administrative group, and the Associated Student Body (ASB) Senate, the legislative/policy-making body and student forum. Students are able to express their views on issues affecting student and academic affairs as well as college policy and state-wide legislative issues through the student government association, College committees and legislative academies. It is also a learning experience that provides a laboratory-type environment for developing leadership skills necessary for democratic government. All Executive Council members are members of the ASB Senate.
- ASB President
Chairs Executive Council and Student Senate. Coordinates the appointment process for EvCC students serving on the ASB committees, college committees, and faculty appointment review committees. Liaison to the Student Senate, the College Administration, Washington State legislative activities and gives monthly reports to the Board of Trustees. Chairs the E-Tech Budget Committee and ASB Senate. Preferred Qualification: Previously served on Executive Council.
- Vice President of Administration
Serves as a recorder for the Executive Council and Student Senate. Chairs the annual ASB Constitution Review Committee. Coordinates the Student Senate “self election” process, organizes the Senate Notebooks and facilitates new Senator’s hiring and orientations. Preferred Qualification: Previously served on ASB Senate.
- Vice President of Public Relations
Promotes and publicizes Student Activities, with emphasis on Student Government. Organizes and prepares ASB Senate Information Table and Senate packets. Chairs the Graduation Committee and coordinates and plans the annual Jingle Jam celebration for EvCC students.
- Vice President of Budget & Finance
Serves as chair of the ASEvCC Services & Activities Fees Budget Committee, which develops the annual student budget according to the ASB Financial Code Budget Development Process. Manages all S & A Fees Budget proposals with the committee and presents proposals to the ASB Senate, College Administration, and Board of Trustees.
- Vice President of Clubs
Organizes and coordinates the bi-weekly Club Council meetings with club representatives. Coordinates, plans, and implements the quarterly Club Fest for EvCC students, as well as the Annual Student Activities Awards Banquet. Coordinates the new club chartering process and manages the club files for all EvCC Club Constitutions. Attends club meetings as schedule permits.

Student Programs Board is the event programming body of Student Activities. Programs Board provides diverse programs, concerts, fine arts, lectures, health/wellness programs, recreation opportunities and special events for EvCC students, both on and off campus. The student leaders selected to serve on the Student Programs Board coordinate activities, events and series that complement academic programs and enhance EvCC students’ educational experience through exposure to, and participation in, educational, cultural, intellectual, recreational, social, and leadership programs.
- Manager of Student Programs Board
The Manager of Student Programs Board assists and advises fellow members of the Board in event coordination, maintains and monitors work schedules, chairs all weekly Board meetings, plans and coordinates the Artist & Lecture Series, and chairs and assists in the organization of all interview/selection committees for the Board. Preferred Qualification: Previously served on Student Programs Board.
- Diversity and Intercultural Awareness Coordinator
Coordinates, plans and implements a Diversity and Intercultural Awareness series primarily involved in the programming of various lectures, arts, and performances focusing on cultural awareness months, Safe Zone, women’s issues, and diversity topics. This position will collaborate with departments such as the Diversity & Equity Center as well as EvCC chartered clubs.
- Health/Wellness Coordinator
Coordinates, and implements a Health/Wellness Program primarily involved in the programming of current health/wellness issues such as Responsible Choices, STD Education, Nutrition, Drug/Alcohol Awareness, etc. Coordinates quarterly Health & Wellness Fairs, Blood Drives, and student First Aid/CPR classes upon request. Coordinator also organizes and maintains the Health/Wellness literature located in Parks Student Union.
- Special Events Coordinator/Recreation Coordinator
Plans and coordinates special event programming including comedians, magicians, campus dances as well as the annual Halloween Costume Contest, Valentine’s Day Balloon Sale and Spring Fling Ice Cream Social. Also responsible for coordinating a quarterly recreation activities such as subsidizing tickets to local sporting events/recreation activities.
- Fine Arts/Lecture Coordinator
Coordinates, plans, and implements a Fine Arts/Lecture series primarily involved in the programming of a variety of performances such as literature, arts, theater, dance panel discussions and lectures focusing on campus issues, current event topics, politics, diversity, human rights issues, etc.
- Concerts Coordinator
Coordinates, plans, and implements a Concert Series representing diverse genres of music performed by both soloists and bands for EvCC students. May also include programming such as a student music showcase, talent show and/or student dances.

- Student Ambassador Coordinator
Assists with the management and operation of the Student Activities Office. Duties include but are not limited to: creating quarterly office schedules, chairing staff meetings, training new employees, and monitoring supply inventory, communicating duties and tasks to employees, and coordinating staff schedules for campus tours and EvCC activities and events. Preferred Qualification: 1 year experience as a Student Ambassador.
- Student Ambassadors
The Student Ambassador Program is a leadership opportunity for students who are dedicated to serving and representing Everett Community College. Student Ambassadors work the Student Activities front desk, provide campus tours, serve as an EvCC representative and perform duties at various EvCC campus and community events. Student Ambassadors also assist the EvCC community and public both in person and by phone during their assigned office hours. They provide information and referral services to departments and people on campus.

- The Paperclip Manager
Assists with the management and operation The Paperclip. Duties include but are not limited to: creating quarterly schedules, chairing staff meetings, training new employees, monitoring inventory, and reconciling daily deposits. Preferred Qualification: 1 year experience as Paperclip staff member.
- The Paperclip Staff
The Paperclip staff organizes and maintains the day-to-day operation of The Paperclip. Paperclip staff provides services such as student photo ID and quarterly renewals, employee ID badges, free Internet access and computer use. The Paperclip staff also sells scantrons, pencils, copy cards, diploma covers and stamps. They also assist in the coordination of recreation ticket sales for the campus community. The Paperclip staff serves as a first point of contact to visitors, both by phone and in person, and maintains the facility in a professional manner.

- Student Graphic Design Intern (1)
The Student Graphic Design Intern is responsible for the completion of approximately one hundred jobs during the year, flyers, brochures, banners, weekly bulletins, and other promotional and informational materials for Student Activities’ events and programs. Minimum qualifications: Experience and classes in desktop publishing, preferably Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign.

- Student Senator
The Student Senate is the student legislative body and student forum for the Associated Student Body. To become a Student Senator, you must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours, and maintain a minimum quarterly and cumulative GPA of 2.5. To find out more information on how to become a Student Senator, pick up materials at the Student Activities Office or the Executive Council Office (Parks 209). (open year round).
