Student Activities Student Programs Board is responsible for program and event development, implementation and coordination of concerts, fine arts, lectures, special events, thematic video series, health and wellness issues, recreational programs and the Artist & Lecture series.

Artist & Lecture Series

The Artist & Lecture Series showcases regionally and nationally known performers, artists, and lectures, both on and off campus, each season. This program is committed to presenting diversity issues for collegiate audiences. Look each year for our annual Artist & Lecture Series brochure highlighting upcoming performance. Concert Series

The Concert Series provides day time musical performances encompassing diverse genres and styles of music for the EvCC community.

Special Events

The Special Events Program presents a potpourri of events and activities each year such as the Halloween Costume Contest, Valentine's balloon sale. comedians, hypnotists, and the annual Ice Cream Social.  The Special Events Coordinator is also responsible for coordinating charitable drives such as Toiletry Drive for Domestic Violence Services of Snohomish County, Food Drives, etc.

Health and Wellness Program

The Health and Wellness Program is committed to providing information, referral, and services to not only compliment healthy lifestyles already established by the campus community, but also to improve health/wellness education for campus members.

The Health/Wellness Program coordinates a Health/Wellness Corner located outside of Student Activities Office in the Parks Student Union. This corner provides brochures, fact sheets, and other information about various health/wellness topics as well as provides free condoms with use instruction and STD/pregnancy prevention brochures.

The Health/Wellness Program sponsors a quarterly Blood Drive with the Puget Sound Blood Center and a quarterly Health and Wellness Fair in conjunction with many outside agencies as well as the Nursing, Medical Assisting, and Cosmetology Departments. Look for this fair to receive valuable information, participate in demonstrations and lots of free stuff! Also, look for other special lectures and awareness events each month in the Parks Student Union.

Fine Arts and Lecture Series

The Fine Arts and Lecture Series presents a variety of lectures focusing on a myriad of topics, issues, and concerns for EvCC students. Lecture topics have included alcohol awareness, addictive behaviors, world issues, healthy dating/relationships,  racism, GLBTQA issues and individual personal experiences. Performances such as  literature, poetry, dance, and theatre are also presented. In addition the Fine Arts and Lecture Series Coordinator is responsible for tackling time sensitive events such as panel discussions regarding current events and other events that arise

The Paperclip

The Paperclip provides various services and activities throughout the year. Services such as student photo i.d. cards, employee ID badges, renting lockers, selling scantrons and pencils, and stamps, as well as, referrals to the different departments on campus, have proven successful in providing EvCC students with valuable information and services.  The Paperclip is also proud to announce additional study/tv space located in Parks 204.  Stop by and check it out!

The Paperclip staff also assists in coordinating quarterly Recreation Days that highlight games, activities, and recreation vendors and a variety of other recreation events.

Each of these areas are advised by Jennifer Rhodes, Student Activities Advisor/Program Manager.
