What is College Goal Washington?

College Goal Washington is a free, on-site program that helps students and families complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), the form that is required to apply for federal financial assistance for higher education. The FAFSA is the single-most important application for financial aid. In one day, you’ll learn how to get money for college.

When is College Goal Washington?

College Goal Washington takes place at Everett Community College on the following date:

  • Saturday, January 24, 2015 at the Main Campus in Everett, Shuksan Hall, Room 141, 11:00 am - 1:00pm. Please arrive promptly at the times above as FAFSA filing will begin immediately.

Parents/guardians are strongly encouraged to attend with their children. Students may attend alone. However, students will need to bring as many of the parent/guardian items as possible.

Students should bring:

  • Your parent, if you are 24 or younger
  • Your Social Security card (FAFSA filers only)
  • Your driver’s license or state identification card
  • Your income information, including bank statements, a W-2 or pay stub, and a past tax return
  • Any additional financial information, such as, child support statements, TANF or welfare information, real estate, stock or bond investments, family business or farm info
  • Your FAFSA PIN Number (if you have one)
  • Your alien registration card (if you are not a U.S. citizen)

Parents/guardians should bring:

  • Your Social Security number and/or card
  • Your driver’s license or state identification card
  • W-2 forms and other records of any money earned in 2014.
  • Your financial information. Parents should bring a copy of their previous year's tax return. (If not available day of event, you can add this information later.)
  • Any additional financial information, such as, child support statements, TANF or welfare information, real estate, stock or bond investments, family business or farm info
  • Your alien registration card (if you are not a U.S. citizen)

We understand that everyone will not have all of these documents. Don't let that stop you from coming! We will get started with whatever you have and fill in the blanks later.
