student group 06SummerSmart

The SummerSmart Program at Everett Community College offers special services to current high school students, and recent high school graduates who wish to attend summer classes at EvCC and participate in a variety of enrichment activities.

In consultation with a College advisor, students may take one, two or three college classes. Students who wish their classes to count toward their high school graduation requirements also must gain the approval of their high school counselor.

Students in the program are provided with a special assessment and orientation to assure that they take the right level of classes. In addition to classes, SummerSmart students are eligible for a special "CollegeSmart" workshop that focuses on college decision-making, preparation, and affordability, scheduled for August 5.
