Twelve staff members from EvCC attended a national mentoring conference at the University of New Mexico in October 2015. The sessions that we attended supported our belief that EvCC has a rich culture of mentoring. We were excited to come together as a group to not only support each other's individual programs, but to begin thinking about the larger mentoring picture at EvCC. From these conversations grew the idea of sharing what we do with a much larger audience. Additionally, we know that we still have much to learn from our colleagues. So we have decided to have a local conference to share these ideas. Our second annual conference was very successful! Check out the Mentoring Conference page for more information!
Mentoring focuses on the future; the more successful our mentoring programs are, the more successful we will be as an institution. A strong institution supports both students and staff to achieve their goals. We would like to spearhead these efforts. We are proud to be disruptive innovators!
This year, the Disruptive Innovators from EvCC attended the UNM Mentoring Institute Conference again, and many were presenters this year! See what the Disruptive Innovators have planned by checking out our Disruptive Innovation Presenters page.
