Celebrate Earth Week April 20-23 at EvCC! 

Join in EvCC's fifth annual Earth Week Celebration that includes a visit from Ciscoe Morris (Gardening with Ciscoe), a drug take-back event, free electronics recycling and terrific prizes in the first-ever EvCC Earth Week Eco Cache competition!

EvCC Earth Week Schedule 

Monday, April 20 - Thursday, April 23

Eco Cache Competition 
8 a.m.-4 p.m. | Various locations
Learn about EvCC's sustainability programs and projects while competing for valuable prizes in the first-ever EvCC Eco Cache. To play, watch EvCC's Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages for clues. Follow the clues to find facts hidden in places on campus that house or benefit current sustainability projects and programs. If you find a fact, follow the directions inside to claim your prize. Hint: You'll be asked to post a picture of your find on social media with hashtag #EvCCEarthWeek. The contest runs until all the hidden facts are found or until 4 p.m. April 23. 

Monday, April 20

Eco Cache Begins!

Get out and find those sustainability facts! Be the first to post a photo with #EvCCEarthWeek on social media to win valuable prizes! See above for details. 

Plant Swap and Sale
10 a.m.-2 p.m. | Whitehorse Hall second floor critique space
Bring plants to trade and take free plants. This year, for the first time, you can also purchase window box succulents and herbs. All proceeds benefit the EvCC plant swap.

Tuesday, April 21

Meaningful Magic

Magician James David ​ will speak about recycling through comedy and magic.

Snohomish County Drug Take-Back Event
10 a.m.-2 p.m. | Liberty Hall first floor entry and lounge
Keep chemicals and drugs from harming the environment by bringing expired or unwanted prescription pharmaceuticals and over-the-counter medications for free disposal. This event is sponsored by EvCC and Snohomish County. Details here

Home and Office Electronics Recycling
10 a.m.-2 p.m. | Parking Lot F
3-R Recycling provides free recycling of computers, printers, cell phones and other electronics. Read which items are accepted. 

Gardening with Ciscoe
Noon-1 p.m. | Whitehorse Hall second floor critique space
Long a favorite of North West gardeners, Ciscoe Morris is a master gardener with a lot of style! Join EvCC in welcoming Ciscoe as he  speaks about Pacific Northwest gardening. Question- and-answer session to follow.

Musical Celebration with Dubsic
