The Women's game started at 4:00pm with a tip off between Everett's Kali Long and Whatcom's Kayla Tiemersma - won by Tiemersma. The first half was definitely all Whatcom, as they lead at one point 30-9. Before the end of the first half, Everett had increased their points to go into half time trailing 23-35. Coach Hovde must have had an inspiring speech at half time, as the Trojans team that came out for the second half, wasn't the same team that played the first half. Everett outscored Whatcom 42-15 in the second half to win the game 65-50. For the game, the Trojans shot 36.9% from the field; 28.6% from 3 pointers; and 65.2% from the free throw line, while the Orcas shot 32.8% from the field; 23.1% from 3 pointers and 64.3% from the free throw line. The largest lead was in the first half when Everett let 30-16. At the end of the first half, Everett led 31-27. The second half was for the most part like the first half and it came down to the final seconds of the game to determine the winner. Everett led 64-63 with seconds left and it was Whatcom's bal. Whatcom's Mikeal Anderson was charged with an offensive foul on Everett's Brendan Jones with about 1.8 seconds left on their end of the court. After a time out called by each team, both teams were set to play - Everett to get the ball inbounds and to keep it and Whatcom to create a turnover and try to get a shot off. Trojan Quadir Williams took the ball out and on a semi-long pass into Everett's end of the court, the ball was stolen by Orca Isaak Davies who through up a hail mary shot to try to win the game. Unfortunately for Whatcom the shot hit off of the top of the backboard on the shot clock and the time ran out. Everett won 64-63 and shot 44.4% from the field; 21.7% from 3 pointers and 64.7% from the free throw line, while Whatcom shot 42.9% from the field; 35.3% from 3 pointers and 50% from the free throw line.
