  • 12/31 W. Basketball hosts Big Bend CC - On December 31st, the Vikings of Big Bend CC will be in the Walt Price Student Fitness Center to play a non-league game with the Trojans. The game will start at 2:00pm. Admission is $5.00 per person, 12 years and older. Current EvCC Students/Staff/Faculty are free when they show their current EvCC ID at the entry door. 
     
  • 12/28-12/30 Men's Basketball at Clackamas CC Holiday Tournament - On Dec. 28th - 30th, the Men's Basketball Team will be in Oregon City, OR participating in the 2015 Holiday Tournament hosted by Clackamas CC. This is a three day, double elimination tournament. The Trojans will face the Yaks of Yakima Valley CC at 5:00pm on the 28th. Directions to ClCC are under the directions link to the right.

  • M. Basketball lose out at Crossover in Overtime 12/18 - An unfortunate loss for the Trojan Men's Basketball Team on OT with Blue Mountain CC, 88-92 on Dec. 18th.  This loss knocks them out of the Lane CC Crossover Tournament. During the game, there were 8 lead changes and 10 ties. At halftime, BMCC had a 46-35 lead over EvCC. For the 1st half, Everett shot 35.3% from the field, 41.7% from 3's and 54.5% from free throws while Blue Mountain shot 46.2% from the field, 36.4% from 3's and 54.4% from free throws. At one point the Trojans were down 16 points, in the second half, but was able to come back to tie it up and send it into overtime, at 79-79. In the overtime, the Trojans were only able to score 9 points while the Timberwolves scored 13 to win the game. This loss ends the Trojans time in the Lane CC Crossover Tournament. Game Highs: EvCC ~ Said Hersi with 28 points & 7 rebounds; Derek Brown with 15 points & 9 rebounds; Brevin Brown with 12 points; Quadir Williams with 11 points & 9 rebounds. BMCC ~ Jared Matthews with 23 points & 14 rebounds; Luke Meyers with 23 points & 10 rebounds; Jared Schultz with 17 points; D'Quan Crockett with 15 points. Everett is now 6-4 overall and Blue Mountain is 7-4.
     
  • W. BKB wins to stay alive at Crossover 12/18 - The Trojan Women's Basketball Team won their second game at the Walla Walla CC Crossover on Dec. 18th. They beat Yakima Valley CC 86-46. This win keeps them in the tournament. In the first quarter, the Trojans went on fire, scoring 32 to the Yaks 19. In the second quarter, Everett scored 19 while Yakima scored 12, so at halftime, Everett led 51-31. During the third quarter, the Yaks only scored 6 while the Trojans scored 22 and in the fourth quarter, once again, the Yaks scored in single digits with 9 while the Trojans scored 13. For the game, Everett shot 51.9% from the field, 63% from 3's and 85% from free throws. Yakima Valley shot 26.5% from the field, 38% from 3's and 50% from free throws. Game Highs: EvCC ~ Breezy Shore with 23 points, 10 rebounds & 8 assists; Claire Fyfe with 21 points & 8 rebounds; Lily Hilderbrand had 16 points & 7 rebounds. YVCC ~ Brenda Garcia with 11 points; Alexis Biermann had 5 rebounds. Everett is now 5-5 overall and Yakima Valley is 3-8 overall. Everett will play at 10am on Dec. 19th vs Highline CC.
     
  • Men's Basketball lose Crossover 1st game 12/17 - Over Dec. 17-19, the Men's Basketball Team is in Eugene, OR to participate in the 2015 Crossover hosted by Lane CC. Trojan Men lost to Umpqua CC 85-91 in their first game of the tournament. At halftime, Umpqua had a 2 point lead, 46-44. Everett shot 37.5% from the field, 35.7% from 3's and 69.2% from free throws. Umpqua shot 41.5% from the field, 33.3% from 3's and 69.2% from free throws. The second half went much like the first half, with the game going back and forth. In the game there were 8 lead changes and 11 ties. At the end of the game, Umpqua had that six point lead to win it. For the game, Everett shot 33.8% from the field, 22.2% from 3's and 75.8% from free throws. Umpqua shot 33.8% from the field, 23.8% from 3's and 68% from free throws. Everett put them on the line for 50 free throws during the game. Game Highs: Everett ~ Derek Brown had 32 points & 14 rebounds; Brevin Brown had 18 points; Said Hersi had 13 points; Quadir Williams had 11 points. Umpqua ~ Charles Porter had 37 points & 10 rebounds; Mikko Barnes had 22 points; Wade Miller had 11 rebounds. Everett is now 6-3 overall and Umpqua is 6-2. Everett plays Blue Mountain CC at 2:00pm on Dec. 18th in a loser out game.
     
  • Women's Basketball lose 1st game at Crossover 12/17 - The W. Basketball Team is in Walla Walla, WA participating in the 2015 Crossover Tournament hosted by Walla Walla CC. In their first game on 12/17, the first quarter ended with Clark College leading by 8, 20-12. In the second quarter, the Penguins increased their lead by 4 to go into halftime ahead 39-27. Everett shot 27.8% from the field, 30%from 3's and 100% from free throws. Clark shot 39.5% from the field, 41.7% from 3's and 50% from free throws. In the third and fourth quarter, Clark scored 24 points while Everett only scored 16 & 19. Clark wins the game 87-62. For the game, the Trojans shot 30.1% from the field, 36% from 3's and 60% from free throws, while the Penguins shot 43% from the field, 34.6% from 3's and 62.5% from free throws. Game Highs: Everett ~ Breezy Shore had 28 points; Claire Fyfe had 7 points & 8 rebounds. Clark ~ Livia Strandberg had 16 points & 11 rebounds; Brean Nueku had 16 points; Molly Franklin had 15 points. Everett is now 4-5 overall and Clark is 7-3 overall. Everett plays Yakima Valley CC at 1:00pm on 12/18 in a loser out game.
     
  • 2nd NWAC Coaches Polls released 12/17 - On December 17th, the NWAC released the second coaches polls of the 2015-16 Men's & Women's Basketball seasons. There were 9 teams that made top 8 list with two teams tied for 8th on the Women's & on the Men's. On the Men's Poll, Everett was voted into the #3 spot! The next poll will be released on January 7th.

  • 12/17-12/19 Men's Basketball Crossover Games streamed live - Lane CC will stream all of the Men's Basketball Games of the Crossover Tournament that they will host over Dec. 17th - 19th in Eugene, OR. The Trojans play the Riverhawks of Umpqua CC at 8:00pm on Thursday, December 17th.

  • Trojan Classic Final Day Results 12/13 - All eleven games of the 2015 EvCC 20th Annual Women's Classic have been completed. Game 1 - Southwestern Oregon CC beat Shoreline CC 72-55 to win the Consolation Champion. Game 2 - Lower Columbia College beat Big Bend CC 66-47 to take 3rd place. Championship Game - CC's of Spokane beat Everett CC 84-55 to win the Tournament.
    Everett's game summary: In the Championship Game today, the Sasquatch of the CC's of Spokane took off straight away from the tip-off and never looked back. Very early on, there were 2 lead changes, however that didn't last long. Spokane had a commanding lead after the first quarter 24-8. The second quarter had both teams scoring 21, but Spokane still had that huge lead from the first quarter at half time - 45-29. During the third quarter once again, the Sasquatch went on a run outscoring the Trojans 20-9. The final quarter, had a two point difference in points during the quarter, EvCC 17, Spokane 19, but the point differential was just too much to overcome. Spokane wins 84-55. Game Highs: Trojans ~ Breezy Shore 20 points, Lauren Allison 16 points, Claire Fyfe 6 rebounds. Spokane ~ Bri King 27 points, Gese Gruber 11 points & 7 rebounds, Khadija Neumeyer 8 points.   • Results Day 2 of EvCC Trojan Classic 12/12 - Day two is in the books for the 20th Annual Women's Classic. Game 1 - (Loser out) Southwestern Oregon CC beat Whatcom CC 78-60. Game 2 - (Loser out) Shoreline CC beat Green River CC 57-48. Game 3 - (Winner to Championship) CC's of Spokane beat Lower Columbia College 81-66 and in Game 4 (Winner to Championship) Everett CC beat Big Bend CC 72-68.
    Everett's game summary: In the first half of the game, the 1st quarter ended with the Trojans leading only by 2 points, 15-13. The second quarter only had the Trojans outscoring the Vikings by only 1 point, 22-21 to have a three point lead into halftime, 37-34. During the second half, the Trojans increased their lead to 7 to go into the final quarter ahead 58-51. While in the fourth quarter, the Vikings outscored the Trojans 17-14, but it wasn't enough to get past the Trojans!. Game Highs: Everett ~ Breezy Shore 21 points, Jessalyn Reiter 17 points, Lauren Allison 13 points, Lily Hilderbrand 11 points & 6 rebounds. Big Bend ~ Deanna Manning 18 points & 11 rebounds, Max Shelley 13 points. Everett is now 4-3 overall and Big Bend is 4-2 overall.

  • Day 1 of EvCC Trojan Classic results 12/11 - Day one of the 20th Annual Women's Classic has finished. Game 1 - CC's of Spokane beat Whatcom CC 75-54. Game 2 - Lower Columbia College beat Southwestern Oregon CC 78-60. Game 3 - Big Bend CC beat Shoreline CC 53-48 and in Game 4 Everett beat Green River CC 75-42.
    Everett's game summary: Early in the game there were 3 ties and 1 lead change but that didn't last long. The 1st quarter ended with the Trojans ahead 18-9. In the 2nd quarter, the Gators scored 10, but the Trojans scored 15 to make a 33-19 ball game at halftime. In the first half, the Trojans shot 31.8% from the field, 33.3% from 3 pointers & 50% from free throws. The Gators shot 26.9% from the field, 15.4% from 3 pointers and 42.9% from free throws. The 3rd quarter finished with the Trojans scoring 19 while the Gators scored 15. In the 4th quarter, the Trojans really jumped ahead scoring 23 and holding the Gators to only 8 points. For the game, Everett shot 38.3% from the field, 40% from 3's and 83.3% from free throws, while Green River shot 25.8% from the field, 16.7% from 3's and 54.5% from free throws. Game Highs: EvCC ~ Breezy Shore had 29 points & 11 rebounds; Claire Fyfe had 14 points and 9 rebounds; Makaliah Johnson & Maddy Nealey each had 8 points & Lily Hilderbrand had 13 rebounds. GRCC ~ Jessica Norlander had 12 points & 5 points, Alexis Gleason had 11 points & Sabrina Ungaro had 6 rebounds. Everett is now 3-3 overall and Green River is 3-5 overall.

  • Men's Basketball makes Herald Sports cover page 12/8 - The Trojan Men's Basketball Team made the front cover of the Sports section for the Herald on Dec. 8th. The picture is of Sophomore Noah Jones with Freshman Kevin Loggins in the background. There is another picture of Coach Walker. The story is about Everett's Men's Team, then has a blurb on Edmonds CC Men's Team, Everett Women's Team and then Edmonds Women's Team.   • Sophomore D. Brown Jr MBKB POW 12/8 - On December 8th, the NWAC released the first Players of the Week for the 2015-16 Basketball Seasons. Trojan Sophomore Derek Brown Jr was named the Men's POW while Bellevue Sophomore Mikayla Jones was named the Women's POW.  For the nomination - "Brown averaged 31.3 ppg in four games last week, including a blistering 43 points in Everett's championship game against North Idaho College in the Cardinal-Bigfoot Classic this weekend where he was named to the All-Tournament team.   • Two Trojan Men make All-Tournament Team 12/6 - After the Championship Game on Sunday, Dec. 6th, the North Idaho College Athletic Director acknowledged two Trojan Basketball Players for being named to the Bigfoot-Cardinal Classic All-Tournament Team. For their performance over the weekend, Derek Brown Jr and Quadir Williams were honored. Congratulations Derek & Q!
     
  • Trojan MBKB takes 2nd at Bigfoot-Cardinal Classic 12/6 - The Men's Basketball Championship Game between the Trojans and the Cardinals of North Idaho College ended with the Cardinals beating the Trojans 108-100. The Trojans kept up with the Cardinals, only allowing a largest lead of 10 points. There were 3 ties and 4 lead changes in the game. In the 1st half, the Trojans shot 50% from the field, 30.8% from 3's and 77.8% from free throws & the Cardinals shot 55.6% from the field, 50% from 3's and 75% from free throws. At halftime, the Cardinals led by 2 points ~ 50-48. In the 2nd half, the Cardinals scored 58 while the Trojans only scored 52. For the game, Everett shot 42.4% from the field, 28.1% from 3 point range and 77.8% from free throws and NIC shot 52.2% from the field, 39.3% from 3 point range and 73% from free throws. Game Highs: EvCC ~ Derek Brown had 41 points & 5 rebounds; Noah Jones had 13 points; Sean McLaughlin had 12 points & 10 rebounds; Quadir Williams had 12 points & 8 assists; Said Hersi had 9 points; Forest grant had 6 points & 5 rebounds. NIC ~ Braian Angola-Rodas had 31 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists & 6 steals; Brayon Blake had 28 points & 13 rebounds; Haywood Irwin had 15 points; Kaleb Warner had 14 points; Kyle Guice had 6 points & 8 rebounds. Everett is now 6-2 overall and North Idaho is now 11-0 overall.
     
  • Men's BKB advances to Championship Game 12/5 - In their 2nd game of the 2015 Bigfoot-Cardinal Classic, the Trojans faced one of the host schools at 7:30pm - CC's of Spokane. The first half ended tied up at 40. Everett shot 39% from the field, 27.8% from 3's and 42.9% from free throws. Spokane shot 34.2% from the field, 37.5% from 3's and 72.7% from free throws. In the second half, the score went back and forth all the way to the end, when Spokane's Jacob DeVries hit a 3 to tie the game up at 92 with 25.1 seconds left. Then with 1.2 second left, Everett's Derek Brown Jr hit a three to take the lead and get the win, 95-92. For the game, Everett shot 44.9% from the field, 43.8% from 3's and 68.8% from free throws. Spokane shot 42.9% from the field, 37.8% from 3's and 80% from free throws. Game Highs: Everett ~ Derek Brown Jr 41 finished with points and 8 rebounds; Quadir Williams had 15 points, 9 rebounds & 9 assists; Noah Jones had 12 points & Said Hersi had 11 points. Spokane ~ Race Martin had 23 points & 12 rebounds; Levi Taylor had 19 points; Jacob DeVries had 17 point and Dalton Patchen had 13 rebounds. Everett is now 6-1 overall and this is Spokane's first loss of the season and they are also 6-1 overall. This game advances Everett to the Championship Game on 12/6. They will face the other host team - North Idaho College at 3:00pm in Coeur d'Alene, ID
     
  • W BKB lose out at Bulldog Classic 12/5 - Trojan Women's Basketball lost to Skagit Valley College at the Bellevue College Bulldog Classic, 63-68. In the first half, the Trojans scored 20 points in the first quarter and 8 in the second. The Cardinals scored 10 in the first and 18 in the second for it to be a tie ball game going into half time at 28-28. Everett shot 34.6% from the field, 33.3% from 3's and 70.0% from free throws. Skagit shot 27.8% from the field, 15.4% from 3's, and 72.7% from free throws. The second half had the Cardinals outscoring the Trojans 40-35 to win the game 68-63. For the game Everett shot 35.1% from the field, 33.3% from 3's and 72.7% from free throws. Skagit shot 33.3% from the field, 17.4% from 3's and 71.4% from free throws. Game Highs: Trojans ~ Jessalyn Reiter had 22 points; Breezy Shore had 14 points & 8 rebounds; Claire Fyfe had 11 points and Lily Hilderbrand had 10 points & 9 rebounds. Cardinals ~ Miranda Dixon had 20 points; Jenika Anglim had 10 points & 8 rebounds and Emily Yost had 11 rebounds. Everett is now 2-3 overall and Skagit Valley is 2-4 overall. Basketball wins at Bigfoot-Cardinal Classic in Triple Overtime 12/4 - TROJANS WIN!!!!! 105-104 in triple Overtime over Yakima Valley CC in their first game of the 2015 Bigfoot-Cardinal Classic in Spokane, WA & Coeur d'Alene, ID on December 4th. The first half ended with the Trojans having a commanding lead 40-27. EvCC shot 36.1% from the field, 33.3% from 3's and 66.7% from free throws, and YVCC shot 25% from the field, 38.5% from 3's and 100% from free throws. The second half had the Yaks of YVCC coming back to tie it up by outscoring the Trojans 50-37. In the first overtime, both scored 8 points and in the second overtime both teams scored 11 points. In the third overtime, Everett was able to score 9 to Yakima's 8 to win the game. For the game, the Trojans shot 41.1% from the field, 24.2% from 3's and 67.6% from free throws while the Yaks shot 39.6% from the field, 50% from 3's and 87.5% from free throws.   • W. Basketball lose 1st game at BC Classic 12/4 - The Women's Basketball team lost a close game to Highline CC 63-68 in their first game a the Bellevue College Bulldog Classic. After two quarters, the Trojans led 34-24 over the Thunderbirds. In the first half, the Trojans shot 52.4% from the field, 57.1% from 3's and 88.9% from free throws & the Thunderbirds shot 36.4% from the field, 11.1% from 3's and 58.3% from free throws. Highline outscored Everett in the second half 44-28 to win the game 68-62. For the game, Everett shot 40.4% from the field, 38.5% from 3 point range and 83.3% from free throws and Highline shot 52.2% from the field, 37.5% from 3 point range and 60.9% from free throws. Game Highs: Everett ~ Makaliah Johnson had 16 points; Breezy Shore had 13 points; Jessalyn Reiter had 11 points & 10 rebounds & Lily Hilderbrand had 11 points.   • 12/11-12/13 EvCC hosts W. BKB Classic - Over the weekend of December 11th - 13th, the Trojan Women's Basketball Team will host the 20th Annual Women's Classic. The 3 day, 11 game tournament will take place in the Walt Price Student Fitness Center. Game times for Friday & Saturday are: 2:00pm, 4:00pm, 6:00pm & 8:00pm. Sunday's game times are: 12:00pm, 2:00pm and the Championship Game is at 4:00pm.  The other 7 teams participating are: Green River CC, Whatcom CC, Lower Columbia College, CC's of Spokane, Shoreline CC, Southwestern Oregon CC & Big Bend CC. Everett plays at 8:00pm against Green River CC on Friday.  Admission per day is $5.00 per person, 12 years old and up. Current EvCC Students/Staff/Faculty are Free if they show their current EvCC ID.

There were 9 teams that made top 8 list with two teams tied for 8th on the Women's. On the Men's Poll, Everett was voted into the #6 spot! The next poll will be released on December 17th.

  • Alumni games results 12/2 - On Wednesday, December 2nd, the current Trojan Basketball Teams hosted non-league games with their Alumni. Both games took place in the Walt Price Student Fitness Center, with the Women starting at 5:00pm. The first half ended with the current team leading 43-17. The current team shot in the 1st half, 50% from the field, 25% from 3 point range & 46.7% from free throws while the Alumni shot 23.1% from the field, 0% from 3's and 41.7% from free throws. In the second half, the current Trojans added another 40 points while the Alumni only were able to add 19 points for the current team to win 83-36. For the game, the Trojans shot 45.6% from the field, 35.7% from 3's and 57.1% from free throws. The Alumni shot 22.2% from the field, 11.15 from 3's and 46.2% from free throws. Game highs: Current ~ Lily Hilderbrand had 12 points & 16 rebounds; Breezy Shore with 12 points; Makaliah Johnson, Jessalyn Reiter & Nancy Rosas each had 11 points and Claire Fyfe had 11 rebounds. The Men's game started at 7:00pm and the first half ended with the Trojans having a slight lead over the Alumni, 52-49. In the first half the Trojans shot 55.6% from the field, 46.2% from 3's and 66.7% from free throws. The Alumni shot 45.2% from the field, 30.8% from 3's and 42.9% from free throws. After halftime, the Trojans came out on fire outscoring the Alumni 77-56 to win the game 129-105. For the game the Trojans shot 53.3% from the field, 46.2% from 3 point range and 65.0% from free throws. For the game the Alumni shot 45.5% from the field, 33.3% from 3's and 56.3% from free throws.   • Two Trojans named to LCC Red Devil Classic All-Tournament Team 11/29 - At the end of the 2015 Red Devil Classic on Sunday, November 29th, host Lower Columbia College's Athletic Director Kirc Roland announced the All-Tournament Team. Two Trojan Sophomores - Derek Brown Jr & Noah Jones were named to the team. Other players named were: Jake Love, CC's of Spokane; Race Martin, CC's of Spokane; Keun Palu-Thompson, Lower Columbia College; Jamal Muhammad, Mt. Hood CC and the MVP was Levi Taylor, CC's of Spokane.
     
  • Trojans take 2nd at LCC Red Devil Classic 11/29 - On Sunday, Nov. 29th the Trojan Men's Basketball took 2nd place in the 2015 LCC Red Devil Classic with a 85-104 loss in Championship Game to the Sasquatch of the CC's of Spokane. The first half started off hot for the Trojans, going on a 15-2 scoring run. During the first half, the Sasquatch caught up and tied it at 20. It was then pretty close up until half time when the Trojans took the lead 47-44. For the first half, Everett shot 54.5% from the field, 43.8% from 3's and 100% from free throws and Spokane shot 33.3% from the field, 27.3% from 3's and 81.3% from free throws. After halftime, the Sasquatch came alive and went on a huge scoring run to take the lead and to keep the lead. At one point, Spokane lead by 27 points. The end of the second half had the Sasquatch outscoring the Trojans 60-38, to win the game and the championship 104-85.  For the game, Everett shot 46.4% from the field, 30.3% from 3 point range and 61.1% from free throws. Spokane shot 48.0% from the field, 50% from 3 point range and 78.3% from free throws.  Game Highs: Everett ~ Quadir Williams had 21 points & 6 assists, Noah Jones & Derek Brown each had 15 points, Said Hersi had 12 points & Sean McLaughlin had 10 points.   • Trojan Men's Basketball advance to Championship Game 11/28 - With their 91-72 Win over Mt Hood CC on Saturday, Nov. 28th, the Trojans secured their place in the 2015 Red Devil Classic Championship Game.  When the game started, the Trojans came out to win.  They led going into half time 52-46. In the first half, Everett shot 50% from the field, 53.3% from 3's and 75% from free throws while Mt. Hood shot 50% from the field, 30.8% from 3's and 75% from free throws. In the second half, the Trojans at one point had a 25 point lead. When the game ended, the Trojans had only allowed the Saints to score 26 in the second half to win the game 91-72.  As a team for the game, the Trojans shot 46.6% from the field, 42.3% from 3's & 80.0% from free throws and the Saints shot 32.9% from the field, 16.0% from 3's & 66.7% from free throws. Game Highs: Trojans ~ Derek Brown with 25 points; Noah Jones with 16 points & 13 rebounds; Quadir Williams with 15 points; Said Hersi with 12 points.   • Men's Basketball beats Centralia College 11/27 - In their first game of the 2015 Red Devil Classic at Lower Columbia College in Longview, WA, the Trojans faced the Trailblazers of Centralia College. The game started at 3:00pm and from the start, the game was all in the Trojans hands. There were no lead changes or tie during the game. At half time, the Trojans led 38-25. Everett shot 42.9% from the field, 30% from 3 point range and 100% from free throws in the first half and the Trailblazers shot 27.6% from the field and 60% from free throws. The second half was still all for Everett, as they outscored Centralia 46-33 to win the game 84-58. Everett shot 39.2% from the field, 25% from 3's and 81.8% from free throws and Centralia shot 28.6% from the field, 6.67% from 3's and 63.6% from free throws.   • 12/4-12/6 Men's Basketball playing in Bigfoot-Cardinal Classic - The Men's Basketball Team will be in Eastern Washington on December 4th - 6th to participate in the 2015 Bigfoot-Cardinal Classic Tournament that will be hosted by the CC's of Spokane and North Idaho College. This is a three day tournament and is double elimination. To play on the third day, teams must win at least one game on Friday &/or Saturday. Two games on Friday & two games on Saturday will be played at Spokane CC in Spokane, WA. Two games on Friday, two on Saturday and the three on Sunday will be played at North Idaho College in Coeur d'Alene, ID.   • Men's Basketball beats Lower Columbia College 11/22 - Sunday, November 22, Trojan Men's Basketball hosted the Lower Columbia Red Devils at the Walk Price Student Fitness Center in a non-league game. Game started at 2:00 and after a slow start for the Trojans in the beginning of the game they came back to lead at halftime by 2 points, 44-42. At halftime, for the first half, the Trojans had shot 39.5% from the field, 47.1% from 3-point range and 66.7% from free throws. The Red Devils had shot 47.2% from the field, 41.2% from 3-point range and 100% from free throws.  The end of the second half had the Trojans outscoring the Red Devils 39-24 to win the game with a score of 83-66. There were seven lead changes and five ties during the game. For the game, Everett shot 37.8% from the field, 40.6% from 3-point range and 51.9% from free throws. Lower Columbia shot 37.5% from the field, 30.0% from 3-point range and 69.2% from free throws.  Game Highs: Trojans ~ Quadir Williams and Derek Brown with 20 points each, Jared Bartleson and Said Hersi with 12 points each.   • Women's Basketball loses to Wenatchee Valley Knights 11/22 - Sunday, November 22, Trojan Women's Basketball hosted the Wenatchee Valley Knights at the Walt Price Student Fitness Center in a non-league game. The game began at 12:00pm and by the conclusion of the first quarter the score was close with Wenatchee leading 12-11. Second quarter progressed with Wenatchee scoring 6 points and Everett trailing close behind with 5 closing the first half of the game with Wenatchee ahead with a score of 18-16 over our Trojans. At halftime, Everett had shot 21.2% from the floor, 9.09% from 3-point range and 50% from free throws, while Wenatchee Valley shot 33.3% from the field, and 0% from 3-point and free throws.  Continuing on into the third quarter Everett scored an additional 9 points to trail Wenatchee's 10, making the score 28-25. When the final whistle blew Wenatchee Valley beat the Everett Trojans 45 to 33. For the game, the Trojans shot 25.0% from the field, 11.8% from 3-point range and 60.0% from Free Throws. For The Knights, they shot 29.8% from the field, 20.0% from 3-point range and 70.0% from Free Throws. Game Highs: Everett ~ Claire Fyfe and Breezy Shore with 12 points each.   • Women's Basketball beats Big Bend CC 11/20 - The Women's Basketball Team was in Moses Lake, WA on November 20th to play a non-league game with the Vikings of Big Bend CC. At the end of the 1st quarter, the Trojans had a 6 point lead, 18-12. In the 2nd quarter, the Trojans held the Vikings to under 10 points, allowing them to score only 7 points. The Trojans led going into half time 40-19.  The 3rd quarter had the Vikings outscoring the Trojans 13-11, however they still trailed 32-51. In the 4th quarter, the Vikings definitely tried to come back and they did out score the Trojans, but it wasn't enough as the Trojans won the game 59-47.  For the game, Everett shot 32.8% from the field, 17.4% from 3-point line & 73.3% from the free throw line while Big Bend shot 21.9% from the field, 13.5% from 3-point line & 52.6% from the free throw line.   • Men's Basketball beats Seattle Mountaineers 11/19 - Thursday, November 19th, had the Trojan Men's Basketball Team hosting the ABA Seattle Mountaineers in the Walt Price Student Fitness Center in a scrimmage game. The game started at 7:00pm and at the end of the first half, the Trojans had a two point lead 38-36. The second half had both teams scoring over 50 points but at the end of the game, the Trojans won 96-90. Game Highs: Everett ~ Quadir Williams 18 points, Jordan Neville 13 points, Landy James 10 points, and Derek Brown 12 points & 10 assists!   • 11/22 NWAC Volleyball Sophomore All-Star Event - On Sunday, November 22nd, there will be four games at the NWAC Volleyball Championships that will have the Sophomores All-Stars from the four regions teaming up to play in the All-Star Event. The first matches will start at 10:30am and have the Southern All-Stars facing the Eastern All-Stars while the Northern All-Stars take on the Western All-Stars. Then at 12:00pm the winners of each of the 10:30am matches will play each other and the losers from those games will play each other. The All-Star games and the Championship Tournament will take place at the Tacoma Convention Center. The tournament is from November 19th - 22nd. Good luck to the 3-5 Trojan Ladies that will be participating on the Northern Team.
     
  • NWAC releases Volleyball All-Star lists 11/16 - The 2015 Volleyball All-Star lists have been released by the NWAC on Monday, November 16th. In the Northern Region, the Trojans had 2 make the All-Star list and 3 make the Sophomore All-Star Team along with 2 alternates. Natalia Sulantay made the 1st Team while Miranda Davidson made the 2nd Team. Both Sulantay & Davidson made the Sophomore All-Star Team as well as Cheyanne Laber. Leilani Hansen & Larissa Block were named as alternates for the Sophomore Team. The Sophomores will participate with other sophomores from other North teams to play in the All-Star Games that will be on Sunday, November 22nd at the Tacoma Convention Center in Tacoma, WA. They will play teams from the other three regions.

  • 11/19 Men's Basketball hosts Seattle Mountaineers - The Men's Basketball Team hosts a scrimmage game with the Seattle Mountaineers of the ABA - a semi-pro basketball league. The game will take place on Thursday, November 19th in the Walt Price Student Fitness Center. Tip-off set for 7:00pm. Admission is free to all!
     
  • Volleyball loses 1-3 in final match of season 11/10 - The 2015 Trojan Volleyball season ends with a 1-3 loss to the Rangers of Olympic College on Tuesday, November 10th in the Walt Price Student Fitness Center. Olympic won the first two sets with scores of 25-22 & 25-23, Everett won the third set 25-19 and Olympic won the fourth set & match with a score of 25-19. Game Highs: Everett ~ Natalia Sulantay 22 Kills & 14 Digs; Leilani Hansen 32 Assists & 14 Digs; Miranda Davidson 11 Digs.  Olympic ~ Brylie Barnette 14 Kills & 16 Digs; Makaela Kindell 16 Kills & 13 Digs; Hannah Hudson 16 Digs; Sarah Carpenter 33 Assists & 22 Digs; Courtney New 14 Digs.  The Trojans finish the 2015 season with a 5-7 league record and 14-13 overall record, with 46 Sets For & 42 Sets Against. The Rangers finish league play tied for 3rd place with a 8-4 league record and a 22-17 overall record with 73 Sets For & 63 Sets Against.
     
  • 11/15 NWAC Soccer All-Star Game - The Northern Region Soccer All-Stars will pair up with the Southern Region All-Stars to take on the Western Region/Eastern Region All-Stars at the NWAC Soccer All-Star Games that will take place on Sunday, November 15th at Starfire Complex in Tukwila, WA. The Women's game will start at 10:30am and the Men's game will start at 12:30pm. Good Luck to Trojan Women's Soccer All-Stars - Matti Norton, Lauren Allison, Kelsie Neill & Emily Sorenson.
     
  • NWAC releases Soccer All-Star Lists 11/9 - On Monday, November 9th, the NWAC released the Men's & Women's All-Star lists.  Everett had four players make the Northern Region Women's All-Star list. Sophomore Matti Norton as a Defender, Sophomore Lauren Allison as a Forward, Sophomore Kelsie Neill as a Midfielder and Freshman Emily Sorenson as a Keeper. Allison was also named as the Northern Region MVP. The Northern Region All-Stars will join the Southern Region All-Stars to take on the team of Western Region & Eastern Region All-Stars in the NWAC All-Star Games on Sunday, November 15th. Congratulations Ladies & Good Luck at the All-Star Game!!
     
  • Women's Soccer lose in OT at CC's of Spokane 11/7 - On Saturday, November, the Trojan Women's Soccer Team lost a heartbreaker in Over Time against the Sasquatch of the CC's of Spokane, in Spokane, WA. This was a must game for both teams with the winner advancing to the NWAC Semi-Finals on 11/14. The Trojans lost 2-3. Trojan Claire Nelson scored the first goal of the game and for the Trojans in the 10th minute on the assist from Lauren Allison to lead the full 1st half. In the 2nd half, the Sasquatch tied the game up on a goal from Maddy Boyd, assisted by Alysha Overland in the 54th minute.  Trojans Allison from Nelson retook the lead in the 61st minute, only to have A. Overland tie it up again from Cali Moscrip in the 63rd minute. This ended the game in a 2-2 to send it into overtime. In Overtime, it was a 1st goal wins scenario, and this time it was the Sasquatch in the 2nd minute of OT by Stephanie Overland. Trojan Keeper ~ Emily Sorenson had 3 saves and Sasquatch Keeper ~ Emily Brusselman had 6 saves. Everett finishes the 2015 season 13-2-0 in league with 39 points, 16-4-1 overall with 68 Goals For, 10 Goals Against and 15 Shutouts. Spokane continues on with a 10-2-0 league record with 30 points, 14-2-1 overall with 80 Goals For, 17 Goals Against and 6 Shutouts.
     
  • 11/14 M & W Cross Country @ NWAC Championships - The 2015 Men's & Women's Cross Country Teams will participate in the 2015 NWAC Cross Country Championships on Saturday, November 14th. The Meets will take place in Battle Ground, WA at Lewisville Park and be hosted by Clark College. The Women's 5K race will start at 11:00am and the Men's 8K race will start at 12:00pm. The park is located at: 26411 NW Lewisville Highway, Battle Ground, WA.
     
  • Volleyball loses in three to Bellevue College 11/6 - The Bulldogs of Bellevue College proved too much for the Trojans Volleyball Team on Friday, November 6th. The Trojans were in a must win situation to keep their playoff hopes alive. In the first set, the Bulldogs came out and took the lead and kept it, winning 25-19. The second set had the Trojans keeping it close until the end when the Bulldogs won 25-17. In the third set after the 10 minute intermission, the Trojans fought every rally. It was a back and forth game, then the Bulldogs took a lead, needing only 1 point to win. The Trojans refused to give up and rallied back to 23-24, but then a missed serve by the Trojans gave the Bulldogs the set and the match, 25-23. This loss keeps the Trojans from post season play as they will finish in 5th place in league, with one more league game left. The Trojans are now 5-6 in league, 14-12 overall with 46 Sets For & 39 Sets Against. Bellevue is in 2nd place with a 8-3 league record, a 20-14 overall record with 74 Sets For & 52 Sets Against.
     
  • W. Soccer WINS & advances 11/4 - The Trojan Women's Soccer Team hosted a 1st Round NWAC Playoff Game on Wednesday, November 4th with the Titans of Tacoma CC. This was a must win game for both teams. In the first half, the Trojans went on the attack and never let up, as Trojan Keeper ~ Emily Sorenson only had 2 saves on the day, as the Titans weren't able to get the ball into the Trojans half of the field that much and were only able to get 2 shots on goal off as a team. The Trojans scored at 25:53 on a goal by Lauren Allison on the assist from Claire Nelson. The Trojans scored again at 31:26 by Nelson assisted by Kristin Snyder to go into half time leading 2-0.  Into the second half, Allison scored her second goal and the Teams third goal at 57:01 on the assist from Matti Norton. At 60:30, Nelson scored her second goal and the Teams fourth and final goal fo the game on the assist from Allison to win the game 4-0. Sorenson recorded the shutout. Titan Keeper ~ Heidi Brankline had 11 saves.  This win advances the Trojans to the 2nd Round, which will take place at the Eastern Regions #1 - Community College's of Spokane.   • Two Volleyball players named as Regional Players of the Week 11/4 - The Northern Region has selected two Trojan Volleyball Players as Players of the Week for Week #9. Sophomore Natalia Sulantay was named the Defensive Player of the Week and Sophomore Leilani Hansen was named Setter of the Week. Congratulations Ladies!
     
  • 11/11 Women's Basketball @ Bellevue College scrimmages - The Women's Basketball Team will be in Bellevue, WA on Wednesday, November 11th to participate in the Bellevue College Jamboree scrimmages. The scrimmages will take place at various times throughout the day. Directions to Bellevue College are under the directions link to the right.
     
  • Men's Basketball scrimmage results 11/3 - The Men's Basketball Team was in Wenatchee, WA on Tuesday, Nov. 4th to play a scrimmage game with the Knights of Wenatchee Valley College. At the end of the first 20 minutes, the Trojans had 48 while the Knights only had 21. At the end of the second 20 minutes, the Trojans lead again, this time 50-37, to win the scrimmage 98-58.
     
  • 11/10 Volleyball hosts last league game - The Trojan Volleyball Team will host the Rangers of Olympic College on Tuesday, November 10th in the final league game of the 2015 season. The game will start at 7:00pm in the Walt Price Student Fitness Center. Admission is $5.00 per person 12 years old and up. Current EvCC Students/Staff/Faculty are Free with current EvCC ID - ID must be shown to receive free admission!

  • Soccer sweeps Skagit Valley College 10/31 - On Saturday, October, 31st, the Trojan Men's & Women's Soccer Teams were up in Mt. Vernon, WA to play the Cardinals of Skagit Valley College. These were the last regular season league games for the 2015 seasons for all four teams. The Women's game started at 12:00pm and within the first minute, Bailey McMullen scored the first goal of the game for the Trojans. Lauren Allison scored the Trojans second goal in the 9th minute. Nine minutes later, Ava Mana'o scored the third goal for the Trojans and five minutes later her sister, Alma Mana'o scored the fourth goal of the game. Trojan Kayla Sargent scored the fifth goal in the 28th minute, and this was how the first half ended, 5-0 for the Trojans. The second half had the Trojans not scoring until the 86th minute, when they scored 3 goals in 3 minutes. Montana Wahlberg in the 86th minute, Claire Nelson in the 87th minute and Lauren Allison in the 88th minute. Trojan Keeper ~ Emily Sorenson had 5 saves and recorded the shutout for not allowing the Cardinals to score. Trojans win 8-0. Cardinal Keeper ~ Tara Augostoni had 14 saves. Everett finishes in 2nd place with a 13-2-0 league record with 39 points, a 15-3-1 overall record with 62 Goals For, 7 Goals Against, 14 Shutouts. Skagit Valley finishes in last place with a 0-13-2 league record with 2 points, a 2-13-2 overall record with 9 Goals For, 65 Goals Against and 3 Shutouts. The Men's game started at 2:15pm and it wasn't until late in the first half that a goal was scored. Skagit Valley got on the board first with a goal from Obed Camacho on the assist from Christian Thode in the 42nd minute. Everett's Mohammed Jobe responded with a goal in the 43rd minute to make it a 1-1 game going into half time. It was late in the second half as well that another goal was scored, this time by Skagit's Isaac Swenson in the 70th minute. Everett's Austin Panek tied it up again in the 72nd minute and then took the lead and the win with a goal in the 86th minute. This is Everett Men's first win of the season, 3-2! Trojan Keeper ~ Sergio Barrera had 5 saves and Cardinal Keeper ~ Abel Blanco had 6 saves. Everett finishes in last place with a league record of 1-12-2 and 5 points, 1-14-2 overall with 21 Goals For and 56 Goals Against.  Skagit Valley finishes in 4th place with a league record of 5-7-3 and 18 points, 5-9-3 overall with 25 Goals For, 32 Goals Against and 2 Shutouts.   • 11/7 2nd Round NWAC Soccer Playoffs - The 2nd Round of the NWAC 2015 Soccer Playoffs takes place on Saturday, November 7th. The 1st place teams of each region will host the winner of a #2 vs a #3. East #1 - CC's of Spokane will host either Everett CC or Tacoma CC; North #1 - Peninsula College will host either North Idaho College or Chemeketa CC; West #1 - Highline CC will host either Clark College or Treasure Valley CC; South #1 - Lane CC will host either Bellevue College or Shoreline CC. All games but the Highline game will start at 12:00pm, the Highline game will start at 4:30pm.
     
  • Congratulations XC Head Coach 10/30 - Congratulations go out to Trojan Cross Country Head Coach Frank Dauncey for being named the Northern Region 2015 Men's Cross Country Coach of the Year. He was named at the 2015 Northern Region XC Championship Meet on October 30th, as voted on by the coaches. This is Coach Dauncey's second year as head coach for the Trojans and the second year that he has been voted as the Northern Region Men's Coach of the Year.   • Cross Country Northern Region Championships Results 10/30 - Olympic College hosted the 2015 Men's & Women's Cross Country Northern Region Championship Meet on Friday, October, 30th. The races took place at the Gold Mountain Golf Club in Bremerton, WA. The Women started at 2:45pm and with only two runners competing, the Trojans did not score as a team. Trojan Alaina Lenway took 2nd place with a time of 19:52 in the 5K race. Teammate Emily Bland took 6th place with a time of 21:48. The Men's race started at 3:30pm. And in this race, Trojan runners took 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 8th, 14th, & 18th places for a team total of 19 points. This gave the Trojan Men's Team the 2015 Northern Region Cross Country Championship Title for the 10th year in a row. Trojan Places: 1st place ~ Kyler Sager with a time of 25:44; 2nd place ~ Isaac Ripley with a time of 26:04; 3rd place ~ Alek Schwiesow with a time of 26:11; 5th place ~ Mohamud Abdi in 26:23; 8th place ~ Gary Davis III in 27:10; 14th place ~ Jackson Wagner in 27:58 and 18th place ~ Dane Legare with a 28:49 time. With their 1st place finishes, Trojan Kyler Sager is the Men's Individual Champion, and Olympic College's Emily Mills is the Women's Individual Champion.   • NWAC releases 4th Coaches Polls 10/29 - The 4th Coaches Polls for Soccer and Volleyball was released by the NWAC on October 29th. On the Women's Soccer Poll, Everett drops one spot from #1 to #2 and Bellevue College & Clark College flip flop in the #5 & #6 spots. On the Men's Soccer Poll, Highline stayed in the #1 spot and everyone else moved around, along with Chemeketa making into the #7 spot. On the Volleyball Poll, no new teams made it onto the poll, but #2-#6 all switched spots. This is the final poll for Soccer and Volleyball's next/final poll will be out on Nov. 12th.

  • Volleyball lose in 3 at Skagit Valley 10/26 - On Monday, Oct. 26th, the league match between the Trojans and the Cardinals took place at Skagit Valley College in Mt. Vernon, WA. Trojans only goal was by Ava Mana'o on a PK in the first half. Pirate Goals ~ Kennedy Whitehead in the 9th minute and the 56th minute. Trojan Keeper ~ Emily Sorenson had 3 saves and Pirate Keeper ~ Manaia Siania-Unutoa had 4 saves. Trojans now in 2nd place 10-2-0 in league, 30 points, 12-3-1 overall with 41 Goals For, 7 Goals Against and 11 Shutouts. Peninsula in solely in 1st place with 11-1-0 league record, 33 points, 16-1-0 overall with 67 Goals For, 5 Goals Against and 12 Shutouts. The Trojan Men's Team lost at Peninsula College 2-5. Trojan Goals ~ Austin Panek in the 32nd minute and Sergio Barrera (CORRECTION ~ goal was by Fabian Panduro) in the 76th minute. Peninsula Goals: Keo Ponce in the 20th & 25th minutes, Sam McEntire in the 32nd minute, David Joyce in the 45th minute and Salvador Vargas in the 62nd minute. Vitor Maia assisted the 25th minute goal and Jonathan Martinez on the 32nd goal.   • 10/28 Volleyball hosts Edmonds CC - In the Walt Price Student Fitness Center on Wednesday, Oct. 28th, the Trojans will take on the Tritons of Edmonds CC in a league volleyball match.   • Volleyball goes 1-2 in day 2 of LCC X-over 10/17 - On the second day of the Lower Columbia College Volleyball Crossover Tournament in Longview, WA, the Trojans faced the Walla Walla CC Warriors in the first round of bracket play. This match went 5 sets and the Warriors won with scores of 21-25, 24-26, 25-21, 25-22 & 15-4. This sent the Trojans to the loser bracket where they faced the Dolphins of Shoreline CC. In this match the Trojans won with scores of 18-25, 25-17 & 15-11. With the win they then faced the Sasquatch of CC's of Spokane again. This time it went three sets and the Sasquatch won with scores of 27-25, 22-25 & 15-12. This takes Everett to a 2-4 league record, a 11-10 overall record with 36 Sets For and 31 Sets Against.
     
  • Soccer splits with Edmonds CC 10/17 - The Trojan Soccer teams were in Lynnwood, WA on the campus of Edmonds CC to play league games with the Tritons on Saturday, Oct. 17th. The Women started the afternoon off and in this game there were no goals in the first half by either team. The second half was another story. The Trojans Lauren Allison scored in the 69th minute to make it 1-0. In the 76th minute, Kelsie Neill scored the Trojans second goal and then scored the third goal in the 90th minute on the assist from Victoria Lentz. Trojan Keeper ~ Emily Sorenson had 4 saves and recorded the shutout. Triton Keeper ~ Peyton Pruett had 5 saves. Trojan Women are now 10-1-0 in league with 30 points and 12-2-1 overall with 41 Goals For, 5 Goals Against and 11 Shutouts. Triton Women are now 3-8-0 in league with 9 points and 4-9-1 overall with 15 Goals For, 34 Goals Against and 3 Shutouts. The Men's game started after the Women's and in this game, the first goal was scored int he 11th minute by Everett in Everett's own goal to make it 1-0 in favor of Edmonds. Trojan Jonathan Flores scored in the 57th minute to tie the game up at 1-1. Triton Sanad Elghanai scored in the 62nd minite to take the lead again. In the 73rd minute, the Trojans tied the game again with a goal by Brendan Aune. The final goal of the game was in the 84th minute, by Marcus Wilson from Edmonds to make it 3-2 and to get the "W". Trojan Keeper ~ Sergio Barrera had 2 saves as well as the Triton Keeper ~ Jacob Parker. Everett Men are now 0-10-1 in league with 1 point, 0-12-1 overall with 12 Goals For & 42 Goals Against. Edmonds Men are now 4-5-2 in league with 14 points, 4-7-3 overall with 20 Goals For, 30 Goals Against and 2 Shutouts.
     
  • M & W Cross Country results from Inland Empire Classic 10/17 - The Men's & Women's Cross Country Teams traveled to Lewiston, ID to participate in the 2015 Inland Empire Classic hosted by Lewis & Clark State College. Neither Trojan Team scored due to not having at least 5 runners complete the course. Trojan Men in 8K: Kyler Sager - tie 71st place with 26:11 time; Alek Schwiesow - 103rd place with 27:03 time; Issac Ripley - 105th place with 27:09 time & Gary Davis - 122nd place with 28:01 time. Trojan Women 6K: Alaina Lenway - 109th place with 21:05 time; Emily Bland - 121st place with 23:24 time & Jade Borseth - 123rd place with 23:27 time.
     
  • 10/24 Soccer hosts Whatcom CC - The league soccer games between the Trojans & the Orcas of Whatcom CC will take place on field #2 at Kasch Park on Saturday, October 24th.   • Congratulations Kyler Sager 10/16 - Men's Cross Country Runner, Kyler Sager was named the NWAC Male Cross Country Athlete of the Week for Week #6. His nomination came from his race at the WWU Invite where he finished with a time of 34:18 in the 10 K race. Nominator comments were: "Kyler was not intimidated by the 10K distance or the heavy winds that appeared Saturday, improving his course PR and finishing first for the Trojans." Congratulations Kyler!
     
  • Volleyball goes 2-1 at day 1 LCC X-over 10/16 - The Trojan Volleyball Team was down in Longview, WA participating in the Lower Columbia College Crossover Tournament. The first day, 10/16, the Trojans faced and beat the Titans of Tacoma CC at 1:00pm with scores of 25-20, 14-25 & 21-19. Then at 3:00pm, the Trojans faced and beat the Lakers of Southwestern Oregon CC with scores of 25-19 & 25-19. The Trojans then faced the Sasquatch of the CC's of Spokane at 6:00pm and lost with scores of 15-25 & 15-25. With this record they will go into Saturday's bracket play facing the Warriors of Walla Walla CC.

  • NWAC releases 3rd Coaches Polls 10/15 - The third Coaches Polls of the 2015 seasons of Men's & Women's Soccer and Volleyball has been released by the NWAC (Northwest Athletic Conference). On the Women's Soccer poll, Everett has retained the #1 spot for the second poll in a row! Highline CC has retained the #1 spot on the Men's Soccer poll and Chemketa CC has retained the #1 spot on the Volleyball poll. Only two new teams have made a poll - #8 spots on the Men's Soccer poll and the Women's Soccer poll. Next poll set to be released on Oct. 29th.

  • Volleyball loses in 5 at Olympic College 10/14 - The Olympic Rangers Volleyball Team hosted a league match with the Trojans on Wednesday, October 14th in Bremerton, WA. It was an exciting match that went five sets. The Rangers won the first set 25-10, while the Trojans won the second & third sets with scores of 25-20 & 28-26. The fourth set went to the Rangers 25-22, and the fifth set was 17-15 for the Rangers. Everett league record is now 2-4 and in 5th place and 8-7 overall with 27 Sets For and 22 Sets Against. Olympic's league record is 3-3 and in 4th place and 13-15 overall with 43 Sets For and 52 Sets Against.   • Soccer splits with Skagit Valley College 10/14 - On Wednesday, the Cardinals Soccer Teams of Skagit Valley College were at Kasch Park to play the Trojans on Wednesday, Oct. 14th. The Men's league game started at 2:00pm an in the 8th minute, Juan Fajardo for the Cardinals scored the first goal. Eight minutes later, Fajardo scored again making it 2-0. About a minute before half time, Christian Thode for the Cardinals made it 3-0. After the second half started, Skagit came out aggressive with their fourth and final goal made by Isaac Swenson in the 47th minute. Trojan Mohammed Jobe scored their only goal in the 72nd minute. Jobe had another opportunity to score a couple minutes later, but his shot hit the crossbar and missed. Trojan Keeper ~ Robert temple had 6 saves and Cardinal Keepers ~ Adriano Terenzi & Charlie Stelling each had 1 save. Everett Men are now in league 0-9-1 and in last place with 1 point, 0-11-1 overall with 10 Goals For and 39 Goals Against. Skagit Men are in 4th place with a league record of 4-4-2 with 14 points and an overall record of 4-6-2 with 18 Goals For, 23 Goals Against and 2 Shutouts. The Women's league game started at 4:15pm. In the 17th minute, Trojan Bailey McMullen scored on a pass from Ava Mana'o. In the 38th minute, Ava Mana'o got another assist, this time with a pass to her sister Alma who made it 2-0 for the Trojans. Kelsie Neill for Everett made it 3-0 right before half time in the 42nd minute. Trojan Kayla Sargent scored in the 75th minute and the the 82nd minute making it 5-0. Then in the 88th minute, making it 6-0 for the Trojans, Anisa Uberuaga scored the final goal of the game. Trojan Keeper ~ Emily Sorenson had 2 saves and recorded the shutout while Cardinal Keeper ~ Tara Augostoni had 5 saves.   • M & W Soccer split with Shoreline CC 10/10 - The Men's & Women's Soccer Teams were in Shoreline, WA to play the Dolphins of Shoreline CC on Saturday, Oct. 10th. The Women started at 12:30pm & the Men at 3pm.  In the Women's game, the Dolphins got on the board first with a goal from McKenna Murray in the 11th minute. Two minutes later, the Trojans tied it up with a goal from Claire Nelson on the assist from Matti Norton. In the 21st minute Lauren Allison put the Trojans ahead 2-1 and that was how the first half ended. The second half went without a goal until the 73rd minute when Allison scored again. Trojans win 3-1. Trojan Keeper ~ Emily Sorenson had 2 saves. Dolphin Keepers ~ Nazarena Hernandez had 3 saves and Amanda Aversano had 5 saves. Everett Women are 8-1-0 in league and tied for 1st place with 20 points, 10-2-1 overall with 32 Goals For, 5 Goals Against and 9 Shutouts. Shoreline Women are 4-4-1 in league in 3rd place with 13 points, 6-5-2 overall with 22 Goals For, 17 Goals Against and 6 Shutouts. The Men's game only had one goal in the first half and that was by Dolphin's Alec Somers in the 12th minute. In the second half, the Dolphins made it 2-0 on the goal from Adrian Torres on the assist from Yovani Martinez in the 69th minute. In the 77th minute, Oscar Herrera for the Trojans scored to make it 1-2. Shoreline scored again in the 84th minute by Somers on an assist from Ryan Anderson. Shoreline won 3-1. The Men's Team took 13th place with 387 points and the Women's Team did not score, as they only had 4 runners compete instead of the needed 5 to score.  Trojan Men finishers: 75th - Kyler Sager 34:18; 85th - Alek Schwiesow 34:32; 110th - Isaiah Britt 35:27; 147th - Jackson Wagner 37:08 & 148th - Isaac Ripley 37:20. However, due to the weather, those games have been moved to Wednesday, Oct. 14th. It will now be a double header and will start at 5:30pm & 8:00pm.   • Volleyball lose in three at Bellevue College 10/9 - Friday, Oct. 9th, the Trojan Volleyball Team took on the Bellevue College Bulldogs in Bellevue, WA. It only went three sets and all three sets were won by Bellevue. Set scores were 25-22, 25-16, 25-17. Everett is now 2-3 in league and tied for 4th place, 8-6 overall with 25 Sets For & 19 Sets Against. Bellevue is 5-0 in league and in 1st place, 15-9 overall with 52 Sets For & 34 Sets Against. Game Highs: Trojans ~ Natalia Sulantay & Amanda Marvin each with 9 Kills & Leilani Hansen with 20 Assists.   • 10/16-10/17 Volleyball participating in LCC X-over - The second Crossover Tournament for the 2015 Volleyball season for the Trojans will take place at Lower Columbia College. The 2 day event will take place on Friday & Saturday, October 16th & 17th in Longview, WA. Eight teams will be participating and they are: Everett CC, Lower Columbia College, Tacoma CC, Linn-Benton CC, Southwestern Oregon CC, Walla Walla CC, Shoreline CC and CC's of Spokane. The Trojans will play 3 matches of 2 out of 3 on Friday: 1pm v Tacoma CC; 3pm v Southwestern Oregon CC & 6pm v CC's of Spokane. Game times and opponents for Saturday will be determined on how the Trojans play on Friday. Game times for Saturday's bracket play are: 8am, 10am, 12pm, 2pm, 4pm & 5pm. All matches on Saturday will be 3 out of 5, except the 4pm matches & one 5pm match those will be 2 out of 3.

The league game for the Women started at 3:00pm, and within the 2nd minute, Trojan Claire Nelson scored on a pass from Ava Mana'o. The Trojans second goal came in the 15th minute by Lauren Allison on a pass from Matti Norton. Allison scored again in the 24th minute, this time from Nelson to make it a 3-0 game in the first half. The second half ended with no goals scored, so the Trojans won 3-0. Trojan Keeper ~ Emily Sorenson had 4 saves while Orca Keepers ~ Hannah Fisher & Ariana Leyba each had 3 saves. Everett Women are 7-1-0 in league with 21 points, 9-2-1 in league with 29 Goals For, 4 Goals Against and 9 Shutouts. The Men's game started at 5:15pm, and 9 minutes into the game, Khalil Ibrahim for the Orcas scored on the assist from Thomas Alvarado. In the 20th minute, Trojan Oscar Herrera tied the game at 1-1. Once the second half started, Tristan Clem for the Orcas scored in the 56th minute from Kenneth Schneider to make it 2-1 in favor of Whatcom. Tjen in the 81st minute, the Orcas third and final goal was scored by Keenan Dueul to win the game 3-1. Trojan Keeper ~ Isaiah Van Dam had 8 saves while Orca Keeper ~ Hector Gutierrez had 5. Everett Men are now 0-7-1 in league with 1 point, 0-9-1 overall with 8 Goals For, 32 Goals Against and 0 Shutouts.   • Soccer lose both at Peninsula College 10/3 - The Trojan Soccer Teams traveled to Port Angeles, WA to play the Pirates of Peninsula College on Saturday, Oct. 3rd. The Women started at 12pm and in the 26th minute, Hoku Afong for the Pirates scored their first goal with the assist from Lexi Kreiger. Then about a minute later, Trojan Ava Mana'o tied the game up. It was 1-1 up until the 53rd minute, when Afong scored her scored goal for the Pirates to take a 2-1 lead. At the end of the game, that 2-1 was the final score. Trojan Keeper Emily Sorenson had 8 saves. Everett Women are now 6-1-0 in league with 18 points & 8-2-1 overall with 26 Goals For, 4 Goals Against and 8 Shutouts. Peninsula Women are 6-1-0 in league with 18 points & 11-1-0 overall with 42 Goals For, 3 Goals Against and 9 Shutouts. The Men's game began at 2:15pm. The first goal of the game was scored by Pirate Keo Ponce in the 11th minute with the assist from Eddie Benito. The Trojans got their first goal in the 32nd minute on a Pirate own goal (a Pirate scored on the Pirates Keeper). It was a 1-1 game going into half time. Five minutes after the second half started, Jonathan Martinez scored the Pirates second goal on the assist from Jonathan Vasquez. Trojan Brendan Aune scored in the 57th minute to tie the game at 2-2. Three minutes later, Ponce scored again this time on the pass from Vasquez. In the 68th minute, Martinez scored again from Benito to make it a 4-2 game. Martinez scored his hat trick in the 74th minute on the assist from Jared Ortiz making it 5-2 Pirates lead. Four minutes later, the Trojans got their 3rd goal on a Pirate own goal. Pirate Joe Sorenson scored in the 81st minute from Martinez and then Martinez scored his 4th goal and the Pirates 7th goal in the 89th minute on a pass from Benito. Peninsula won 7-3. Trojan Keeper Sergio Barrera had 7 saves. Everett Men are 0-6-1 in league with 1 point & 0-8-1 overall with 7 Goals For & 29 Goals Against. The first set of the league match started at 7:00pmin the Seaview Gym. The Trojans won the match in three straight sets with scores of 25-18, 25-18 & 25-19.   • 10/9 Volleyball plays at Bellevue - The Trojan Volleyball Team will travel to Bellevue College in Bellevue, WA to play the Bulldogs. The first set of the league match will start at 7:00pm. Directions to Bellevue College are under the directions link to the right.
     
  • Volleyball loses to Skagit Valley 9/30 - The Volleyball game with Skagit Valley College was at 7pm in the Walt Price Student Fitness Center. The first set went to the Cardinals with a score of 25-17. The second set was back and forth throughout, but at the end with a score of 27-25, Skagit Valley won to lead 2 Sets to 0 going into the 10 minute intermission. The third set started and the Cardinals came out on fire, taking the lead and keeping it, winning the game 25-17 and the match 3-0.   • Soccer splits with EdCC Tritons 9/30 -  Trojan Soccer hosted the Tritons of Edmonds CC today, 9/30 for league games as Kasch Park. The Men started at 2:00pm and the only goal in the game was scored at 18:33 by Edmonds Kobin Nuss on the assist from Moris Vrachovski. Trojans had some close chances, but just weren't able to get the ball into the back of the net. Trojan Keepers ~ Robert Temple had 5 saves and Sergio Barrera had 4 saves. Trojan Men are now 0-5-1 with 1 point, 0-7-1 overall with 4 Goals For, 22 Goals Against and 0 Shutouts. Triton Men are 3-2-1 in league with 10 points, 3-4-2 overall with 10 Goals For, 14 Goals Against and 2 Shutouts. The Women's game started at 4:15pm and not even 3 minutes into the game at 2:26, Lauren Allison scored the Trojans first goal. Then at 13:19 Allison scored her second goal of the game, this time on the assist from Ava Mana'o. Mana'o's sister Alma, made it a 3-0 game with her goal at 37:44 on the assist from Anisa Uberuaga. In the second half, Kelsie Neill on the assist from Uberuaga scored the Trojans 4th and final goal of the game. Trojan Keeper Emily Sorenson recorded the shutout with 2 saves. Everett Women are 6-0-0 in league with 18 points, 8-1-1 overall with 25 Goals For, 2 Goals Against and 8 Shutouts. Edmonds Women are 2-4-0 in league with 6 points, 3-5-1 overall with 11 Goals For, 17 Goals Against and 3 Shutouts.

  • 10/4 Baseball split team to play 2 teams - The Trojan Baseball Team will split their team on Sunday, Oct. 4th with one 1/2 traveling to Monmouth, OR to play Lane CC at Western Oregon University while the other half stays home and hosts Rijo Athletics. The home games will be played at Everett Memorial Stadium and start at 12:00pm and about 3:00pm for the second game. The games vs Lane CC will start at 1:00pm and 4:00pm.
     
  • Soccer splits with Cardinals 9/26 - On Saturday, Sept. 26th the Trojan Soccer Teams were in Mt. Vernon, WA to play the Cardinals of Skagit Valley College. The Women won their game 5-0 on goals by: Lauren Allison assisted by Kelsie Neill in 57th minute; Allison again in the 68th minute assisted by Ava Mana'o; Kristin Snyder in the 71st minute assisted by Matti Norton; Allison for the hat trick in the 72nd minute assisted by Victoria Lentz & Riley Zucker in the 81st minute on the assist by Brooklynn Roberts. Trojan Keeper Emily Sorenson had 2 saves. Trojan Women are now 5-0-0 in league with 15 points & 7-1-1 overall with 21 Goals For; 2 Goals Against and 7 Shutouts. Cardinal Women are 0-5-0 in league and 2-5-0 overall with 7 Goals For, 24 Goals Against and 1 Shutout. In the Men's game, the Cardinals of SVC won 3-0 with goals by: Isaac Swenson in the 4th minute assisted by Netfali Camacho; Ben McCornack assisted by Swenson in the 37th minute and Christian Thode in the 46th minute.   • M & W Cross Country results from NWAC Preview 9/26 - The Men's & Women's Cross Country Teams traveled to Battle Ground, WA to participate in the 2015 NWAC Preview/Clark Classic. The Meet took place at Lewisville Park in Battle Ground. In the Men's 8K race, Mohamud Abdi was the Trojans top finisher in 9th place with a time of 26:03. The Men's Team finished in 4th place with 87 points. The top Trojan finisher in the Women's 6K race, was Esmeralda Bonilla in 13th place with a time of 20:34.   • 10/3 Soccer plays at Peninsula College - The Men's & Women's Soccer Teams will travel on Saturday, October 3rd to Peninsula College in Port Angeles, WA.   • Trojan Volleyball beats Whatcom CC 9/25 - The Trojan Volleyball Team hosted the Orcas of Whatcom CC on Friday, Sept. 25th in the Walt Price Student Fitness Center. The first set started at 7:00pm and at the end of it, the Trojans had won with a score of 25-20. The second set had the Trojans winning 25-14 before the 10 minute intermission. After the intermission, the Trojans came out hot to finish the Orcas in the third set 25-14, to win the match 3-0. The Trojans are now 1-1 in league and 7-4 overall with 22 Sets For and 13 Sets Against. The Orcas are now 0-2 in league and 4-12 overall with 16 Sets For and 37 Sets Against.   • Trojan VB loses at Shoreline CC 9/23 - The 2015 league volleyball season opened on Wednesday, Sept 23rd with the Trojans traveling to Seattle, WA to play the Dolphins of Shoreline CC. The first set started at 7:00pm. The Dolphins won the first set with a score of 25-17. The second and third sets ended in a 26-24 score and Shoreline won the second and Everett won the third. The fourth set had the Dolphins outscoring the Trojans 25-13 to win the match 3-1.   • Trojan Soccer splits with Shoreline CC 9/23 - The Dolphins of Shoreline CC were at Kasch Park on Wednesday, Sept 23rd to play the Trojans in league soccer games. The Men's game began first at 2:00pm. In the first half, Dolphins Jorge Talavera had two goals at 20:07 & 24:19 to take the lead 2-0 at half time. At 56:44, Talavera finished his hat trick (3 goals) with the assist from Victor Ruelas. At 70:46, Dolphin Clark Murray added their fourth goal to make it 4-0. Trojan Austin Panek scored the Trojans only goal at 74:30. Murray scored his second goal and the Dolphins fifth goal at 76:45 on the assist from Ivan Mechor. The game ended with Shoreline winning 5-1. Trojan Keepers ~ Robert Temple allowed 2 goals and Sergio Barrera had 4 saves and 3 allowed goals. Everett Men are now 0-3-1 in league with 1 point, 0-5-1 overall with 4 Goals For, 18 Goals Against and 0 Shutouts. Shoreline Men are now 1-0-3 in league with 6 points, 1-0-6 overall with 10 Goals For, 6 Goals Against and 2 Shutouts. The Women's game began at 4:15pm and at 18:03 Trojan Kristin Snyder scored on the assist from Nicole West. At 39:20, on a pass from Alma Mana'o, Trojan Cherise Shaver scored Everett's second goal. Then at 43:00, Mana'o got another assist from Kelsie Neill's goal. At half time, Everett lead 3-0. About 8 minutes into the second half (52:07), Lauren Allison scored the Trojans fourth goal on the assist from Anisa Uberuaga, and then with about 5 minutes left (84:37) Riley Zucker scored the final goal of the game and the Trojans won 5-0. Trojan Keeper ~ Emily Sorenson had 1 save. Trojan Women are now 4-0-0 in league with 12 points, 6-1-1 overall with 16 Goals For, 2 Goals Against and 6 Shutouts.   • EvCC Volleyball X-over Results Day 2 9/20 - Day two of the 2015 EvCC Crossover Volleyball Tournament started with games at 9:00am on Sunday, Sept 20th. Results for the 20th are: 9am matches (3 out of 5 & losers move to consolation bracket): Lower Columbia College beat Columbia Basin College 25-18, 25-23 & 25-14. EVERETT CC beat Centralia College 25-16, 25-19 & 25-14. CC's of Spokane beat Umpqua CC 25-17, 25-15 & 25-23. 10:30am matches (3 out of 5): Olympic College beat Big Bend CC 19-25, 28-30, 25-21, 25-18 & 15-5. Clark College beat EVERETT CC 25-17, 25-23 & 25-16. Shoreline CC beat CC's of Spokane 25-22, 25-15, 18-25 & 25-22. Big Bend, Everett & CC's of Spokane all move to the consolation bracket which is a loser out bracket. 12pm matches: Highline CC beat Lower Columbia College in a 3 out of 5 match 25-22, 25-17 & 25-21, sending Lower Columbia to the consolation bracket. From the consolation bracket which is 2 out of 3: Big Bend CC beat Centralia 23-25, 25-19 & 15-13. Columbia Basin beat CC's of Spokane 28-26 & 25-21. Due to the 10:30am games running late, all of the other game times started late as well. Game Times listed are the scheduled times! The 1:30pm matches: (3 out of 5) Highline CC beat Olympic College to advance to the Championship Match, 25-17, 25-13 & 26-24.  Shoreline CC beat Clark College to also advance to the Championship Match, 29-27, 25-23, 19-25 & 25-21. Both Olympic & Clark tie for 3rd place. The 1:30pm match that was 2 out of 3 had Umpqua CC beating Lower Columbia College 30-28, 18-25, 15-12.  The 2:30pm matches had Big Bend CC beating Umpqua CC to advance to the Consolation Championship Match, 25-21 & 25-21. EVERETT CC beat Columbia Basin College 25-15 & 25-20 to advance to play Big Bend CC for the Consolation Match. The Consolation Match ended in two sets with EVERETT winning the match 25-17 & 25-19 over Big Bend CC. The Championship Match was very exciting ~ going all 5 sets, with three of the sets ending with a two point difference. Highline CC won the match over Shoreline with scores of 25-18, 23-25, 25-16, 24-26 & 17-15.  Congratulations Highline CC on their 1st place finish, Shoreline CC on their 2nd place finish, Olympic College & Clark College for finishing in 3rd place and Everett CC as the consolation champion.
     
  • Cross Country results from Sun Dodger Invite 9/19 - The Men's & Women's Cross Country Teams were in Seattle, WA on Saturday, Sept. 19th to participate in the 2015 Sun Dodger Invite hosted by the University of Washington. In the Men's 8K race, the top finishers for the Trojans were Kyler Sager in 95th & Mohamud Abdi in 97th. As a team the Men finished in 21st place with 545 points. In the Women's 6K race, the top finishers for Everett were Esmeralda Bonilla in 169th & Alaina Lenway in 173. The Women's Team only had 3 racers participating, so they did not score as a team.   • 9/26 Baseball All-Star Event - The 2015 NWAC Baseball Sophomore All_Star Event will take place at Lower Columbia College in Longview, WA on Saturday, Sept. 26th. The Trojans have 6 players that will be participating in the event ~ Tate Budnick, Trevor Cook, Bryce Peterson, Bryce Steckler, Taylor Shea and Alex Gray.   • Trojan Lauren Allison Honored 9/16 - Lauren Allison, a sophomore on the Women's Soccer Team was named the 2015 Female Collegiate Athlete of the Year by the Snohomish County Sports Commission. The award was given to her at their Sports Hall of Fame Banquet that was held on Wednesday, Sept. 16th at the Edward. D. Hansen Conference Center at XFINITY Arena. Lauren is a 2014 graduate from Stanwood High School. She was named the a North-West Region All-Star as a Forward and the NWAC Women's Soccer 2014 Championships Tournament MVP.
     
  • Soccer split with Peninsula College 9/16 - The league soccer games with the Peninsula College Pirates took place at Kasch Park on Wednesday, Sept 16th. The Men started the afternoon off at 2:00pm. In the 5th minute, Pirate Jonathan Martinez scored the first goal of the game. Right before the 19th minute, Keo Ponce scored the second goal for the Pirates. The Trojans had many opportunities to score, but were just unable to get the ball into the back of the goal. At half time, the score was 2-0 in favor of the Pirates. Ponce scored again for the Pirates this time with the assist from Martinez in the 57th minute to make it 3-0. Then in the 78th minute, David Joyce on the assist from Steven Moreno scored their fourth and final goal of the game. The Trojans were unable to score and so Peninsula won 4-0. Trojan Keepers - Sergio Barrera had 2 saves and Robert Temple had 1 save. Everett Men are now 0-2-0 in league and 0-4-0 overall with 1 Goal For, 11 Goals Against and 0 Shutouts. Peninsula Men are 1-0-1 in league with 4 points and 3-1-2 overall with 13 Goals For, 6 Goals Against and 2 Shutouts. The Women's game started at 4:15pm and 2:42 into the game, the only goal of the game was scored by the Trojans Kristin Snyder with the assist from Cherise (CJ) Shaver. This is the first goal that has been scored against the Pirates so far this season. Trojan Keeper ~ Emily Sorenson had 6 saves. Trojan Women are now 2-0-0 in league with 6 points and 4-1-1 overall with 8 Goals For; 1 Goal Against and 5 Shutouts. Pirate Women are 1-1-0 in league with 3 points and 6-1-0 overall with 26 Goals For, 1 Goal Against and 6 Shutouts.

  • Trojan Soccer splits at Edmonds 9/12 - The Trojan Soccer Teams were in Lynnwood, WA on Saturday, Sept 12th to play league games with the Tritons of Edmonds CC. The Women started at 12:00pm and in their game, it was 0-0 up until the 36th minute when Kristin Snyder scored for the Trojan on the assist from Kelsie Neill. Then in the 37th minute, Lauren Allison added another goal for the Trojans to make it 2-0 going into half time. In the second half, Lauren Allison scored the Trojans third goal in the 72nd minute and that was how the game finished - EvCC 3 EdCC 0. Trojan Keeper Emily Sorenson had 5 saves in the game. Everett Women are 1-0-0 in league with 3 points and 3-1-1 overall with 7 Goals For, 1 Goal Against and 4 Shutouts. Edmonds Women are 0-1-0 in league and 1-2-1 overall with 2 Goals For, 7 Goals Against and 1 shutout. In the Men's Game that followed at 2:15pm, the game went into half time tied at 0-0. It was in the second half that the Tritons were able to get a goal past Trojan Keeper Robert Temple - in the 55th minute, Kobin Nuss with the assist from Zach Bush. That was the only goal scored and Edmonds won 1-0. Trojan Keepers Robert Temple had 8 saves and Sergio Barrera had 5 saves. Everett Men are 0-1-0 in league and 0-3-0 overall with 1 Goal For, 7 Goals Against and 0 Shutouts.   • 9/19-9/20 Volleyball hosts Crossover Tournament - The Trojan Volleyball Team will host a 11 team Crossover Tournament on Saturday & Sunday, Sept 19th & 20th in the Walt Price Student Fitness Center. Saturday will have pool play with Sunday having bracket play. There will be 3 pools and Pools A & B will start at 10am and Pool C at 10:30am. The Trojans are in Pool C and their games on Saturday are at 12:30pm & 2:30pm. The other 10 teams participating are: Highline CC, Olympic College, Shoreline CC, Lower Columbia College, CC's of Spokane, Big Bend CC, Clark College, Columbia Basin College, Centralia College & Umpqua CC. Admission is $5.00 per person 12 years old and up each day. Current EvCC Students/Staff/Faculty are Free with current EvCC ID - ID must be shown to receive free admission!

  • 9/19 Baseball Fall Ball Games - The Trojan Baseball Team will host 3 games with the Seattle Mariners Area Code Team on Saturday, September 19th. The first game will be at 9am with the second game at 4pm followed by the third game at 6pm. Games will be played at Everett Memorial Stadium and admission is free to all.
     
  • 9/19 Cross Country opens 2015 season - The Men's & Women's Cross Country Teams will be in Seattle, WA on Saturday, Sept. 19th to open their 2015 seasons by participating in the 2015 Sun Dodger Invitational Meet hosted by the University of Washington. The meet will take place at Lincoln Park, located at 8011 Fauntleroy Way SW, Seattle, WA 98136. The first race will start at 9am.

  • W. Soccer beats Lane CC 9/9 - The Trojan Women's Soccer Team hosted a non-league game with the Titans of Lane CC on Wednesday Sept 9th at Kasch Park. In the 17th minute of the game, Lauren Allison on the assist from Claire Nelson scored the Trojans first goal. In the 46th minute, this time Lauren Allison had the assist on Bailey McMullen's goal as the Trojan now lead 2-0. About 4 minutes later, Ava Mana'o scored for the Trojans on a penalty kick. At the end of the 90 minutes of play, the Trojan had 3 and the Titans had 0.  Trojan Keeper Emily Sorenson had 3 saves. The Trojans are now 2-1-1 overall and the Titans are 2-3-1 overall.
     
  • Volleyball mini-tournament results 9/8 - The Trojan Volleyball Team hosted a mini-tournament on Tuesday, Sept 8th in the Walt Price Student Fitness Center. The first matches started at 5:00pm and had the Trojans facing the Raiders of Pierce College and the Cardinals of Skagit Valley College facing the Gators of Green River CC. Both of these matches went to 4 sets. Everett lost the first set 17-25 to Pierce, but then went onto win the next three with scores of 25-22, 25-23 & 25-18. Skagit beat Green River the first set 25-19, lost the second set 20-25 and then won the next two with scores of 25-18 & 25-14. The second matches started at 7:00pm with Pierce and Green River flip flopping courts. Both of these matches only went to 3 sets and Everett beat Green River with scores of 25-20, 26-24 & 25-17 while Skagit beat Pierce with scores of 25-20, 25-13 & 25-13. Everett is now 2-1 overall, Skagit Valley is 5-6 overall, Pierce is 2-2 overall and Green River is 1-5 overall.
     
  • 9/12 Soccer opens League at Edmonds - The Trojan Soccer league 2015 seasons start with the teams traveling to Lynnwood, WA to play the Tritons of Edmonds CC on their campus.   • Volleyball loses in 5 sets 9/3 - The Trojan Volleyball Team won the first set 25-21 over the Chokers of Grays Harbor College on Thursday, Sept. 3rd. The Chokers then went and won the 2nd set 27-25 and the 3rd set 25-19. The Trojans forced a 5th set by winning the 4th set 25-22. The 5th set went down to the wire with the Chokers only winning by the mandated two points 15-13, to win the match. This was the first match for both teams in the 2015 season. The Trojans are now 0-1 overall and the Chokers are 1-0 overall.
     
  • Women's Soccer shuts out ClCC 9/2 - The Trojan Women's Soccer Team beat the Clackamas CC Cougars today 1-0 in a non-league game. The game took place at Kasch Park #2 and started at 3:00pm. The Trojans jumped to the lead early in the game with a goal from Claire Nelson at 3:30 into the game on the assist from Anisa Uberuaga. The Trojans had a number of other chances to score, but were unable to get it past the Cougars keeper, as she had 14 saves.  This win takes the Trojans overall record to 1-1-1.   • Results from NWAC Friendly's 8/29-8/30 - This past weekend, August 29th & 30th, the Trojan Soccer teams were in Springfield, OR to participate in the 2015 NWAC Friendly's Tournament. The tournament was held at Willamalane Complex & Lane CC (Eugene, OR) over the two days. The Trojan Women went 0-1-1 over the weekend with a 0-0 tie on Saturday with Highline CC and a 0-1 loss on Sunday against the CC's of Spokane. The Trojan Men went 0-2-0 over the weekend with a 0-2 loss on Saturday against Treasure Valley CC and a 1-4 loss on Sunday against Columbia Basin College. In Sunday's game, Everett's Nathan Thompson scored in the 20th minute with the assist to Fabian Panduro.

  • Men's Basketball Alumni to play pro-ball 8/18 - Former Trojan Men's Basketball Player - Connor Donaldson, will be traveling in two weeks to Finland to play professional basketball.   • Trojan Baseball Sophomore signs with WSU 8/6 - Trojan Baseball player Kevin Whatley has agreed to play baseball next year for the Wright State University Raiders. Whatley is a 6'0 Short Stop/2nd Base from South Kitsap High School that played both years here at EvCC.  In his sophomore year, his stats were: played in 33 games, had 75 At Bats; 11 Runs; 21 Hits with 6 doubles & 1 triple; 6 RBI's; a .280 Batting Average and a .357 On Base Percentage.   • Everett CC Trojans ranked 11th by the NATYCAA 6/12 - Everett Community College Trojan Athletics have been ranked #11 on the 2015-16 final standings for the National Alliance of Two Year Colleges Athletic Association (NATYCAA). The NATYCAA ranks the Community Colleges from the NWAC (Northwest Athletic Conference) of which EvCC is a member of and the CCCAA (California Community Colleges Athletic Association) based on schools teams placing in their respective championship tournaments/meets. This is only the second year of this ranking and they named the top 25 schools. In the NWAC, there were 5 schools making the top 15; The Community College's of Spokane was ranked 2nd with 166 points; Treasure Valley CC is 5th with 149 points; Bellevue College in 9th place with 128 points; EvCC in 11th with 122 points; and Southwestern Oregon CC in 15th place with 112 points.  Great Job Trojans!!
