  • 3/10-3/13 Everett CC hosts 2016 NWAC Basketball Tournament - The 2016 NWAC Men's & Women's Basketball Championship Tournament & the All-Star Games will be held at Everett CC on March 10th - 13th. There will be 8 Women's Teams & 8 Men's Teams in Everett vying for the 2016 Titles. Women's games start at 10:00am on the 10th - 10am Peninsula College vs Umpqua CC; 12pm Lower Columbia College vs CC's of Spokane; 2pm Wenatchee Valley College vs Bellevue College; 4pm Lane CC vs Centralia College. The All-Star games will be on the 10th as well with the Women's (North/East vs South/West) Game at 6pm and the Men's (North/East vs South/West) Game at 8pm. On the 11th games start at 10am - 10am (Game 5 - loser out) Women's Loser Game 1 vs Loser Game 2; 12pm (Game 6 - loser out) Women's Loser Game 3 vs Loser Game 4; 2pm Men Chemeketa CC vs CC's of Spokane; 4pm Men Big Bend CC vs Highline CC; 6pm Men Columbia Basin College vs Whatcom CC; 8pm Men Clark College vs Yakima Valley CC.   • Trojans lose final league games to Bellevue 2/28 - The Trojan Women lost to Bellevue College in their final regular season league game of the 2015-16 season on Sunday, February 28th. The first quarter ended with the Trojans having a 1 point lead at 20-19. The second quarter was the opposite, with the Bulldogs having the 1 point lead to tie the game up going into half time at 30 a piece. For the first half, Everett shot 30.8% from the field, 33.3% from 3's and 83.3% from free throws, while Bellevue shot 41.9% from the field, 25% from 3's and 50% from free throws. The third quarter was when Bellevue took the lead and never looked back. They outscored Everett 24-10 in the third and then 18-16 in the fourth to win the game 72-56. For the game, Everett shot 32% from the field, 30% from 3's and 81.8% from free throws and Bellevue shot 46.3% from the field, 26.7% from 3's and 60% from free throws. Game highs: EvCC ~ Breezy Shore with 21 points & 7 rebounds; Makaliah Johnson with 11 points & 9 rebounds; Lily Hilderbrand with 9 points. BC ~ Mikayla Jones with 27 points, 5vrebounds & 5 assists; Erin Hamilton with 17 points & 7 rebounds; Shelby Kassuba with 14 points. Everett finishes league in 4th place in the North with a 7-7 record and has an overall record of 14-14 and Bellevue finishes league in 2nd place in the North with a 12-2 record and has an overall record of 22-5. The Trojan Men lost a must win game to Bellevue College today, that would have had them moving onto the 1st round playoffs. This was the final regular season league game of the 2015-16 season. The Bulldogs jumped to an early lead and were determined to keep it. They had the largest lead of 14 points right before halftime, but the Trojans were able to cut it to 10 points going into the break at 35-25. For the first half, the Trojans shot 31% from the field, 25% from 3's and 80% from free throws with the Bulldogs shooting 39.4% from the field, 12.5% from 3's and 88.9% from free throws. In the second half, the Trojans quickly closed the 10 point gap in the first few minutes of the half starting to catch up. Even though they outscored the Bulldogs 38-35 in the second half, it wasn't enough to overcome the first half deficit and the Trojans lost 63-70. For the game, the Trojans shot 32.7% from the field, 20.8% from 3's and 71% from free throws. The Bulldogs shot 41% from the field, 14.3% from 3's and 66.7% from free throws. Game Highs: EvCC ~ Derek Brown with 15 points; Said Hersi with 14 points & 6 rebounds; Quadir Williams with 12 points & 8 rebounds; Noah Jones with 12 points. BC ~ Brian Zehr with 22 points & 14 rebounds; Jack Walton with 18 points and 7 rebounds. This loss finishes the Trojans season with a 7-7 league record and a 16-13 overall record. This win gives the Bulldogs a 7-7 league record and a 16-13 overall record. Even though Everett & Bellevue are tied with a 7-7 league record, Bellevue takes 4th place in the North for the NWAC playoffs as they beat Everett twice during league play.
     
  • 3/5 Women's Basketball 1st Round Playoff - With their 4th place finish in the Northern Region, the Trojan Women's Basketball Team will travel for the 1st Round of the NWAC 2016 Playoffs to the Southern Region's 1st place. They will face the Titans of Lane CC in Eugene, OR on Saturday, March 5th. The game will start at 3:00pm, and the winner of this game will advance to the Championship Tournament hosted by EvCC on March 10th - 13th.   • 3/5 Softball at Yakima Valley CC - On Saturday, March 5th, the Trojan Softball Team will play Yakima Valley CC in a non-league double header in Yakima, WA. Game one will begin at 12:00pm, followed by game two about 30 minutes after the first one finishes. Directions to Yakima Valley CC are under the directions link to the right.
     
  • 3/4-3/6 Baseball at Yakima Valley CC - On Friday, Saturday & Sunday, March 4th, 5th & 6th, the Trojan Baseball Team will be in Yakima, WA to open their 2016 season playing the Yaks of Yakima Valley CC & the Lakers of Southwestern Oregon CC in five non-league games. On Friday, the Trojans will play the Yaks in two games, the first one starting at 3:00pm and the second about 6:00pm. On Saturday, the Trojans and Lakers play at 10:00am and then the Trojans face the Yaks at 4:00pm. On Sunday, the Trojans and Lakers start at 12:00pm.   • 3/4 Softball at Columbia Basin - The Trojan Softball Team will be in Pasco, WA on Friday, March 4th to play a non-league double header with the Hawks of Columbia Basin College. The first game will start at 12:00pm with the second game following about 30 minutes after the completion of the first game. Directions to CBC are under the directions link to the right.
     
  • 3/4-3/5 W. Track & Field @ E. Anderson Invite - The 2016 Women's Track & Field Team will travel to McMinnville, Oregon to participate in the Erik Anderson Memorial Icebreaker Invite hosted by Linfield College. Friday night events start at 7:00pm and Saturday events start at 9:00am. Linfield College is located at 900 SE Baker Street, McMinnville, OR 97128-6894.
     
  • Softball cancelled at Inter-Region 2/27-2/28 - The Trojan Softball Team will not travel to Yakima, WA to participate in the Inter-Region Tournament that Yakima Valley CC was hosting over the weekend.
     
  • Basketball splits with Shoreline 2/24 - Trojan Women's Basketball wins their league game over Shoreline CC tonight by a score of 60-54. In the first quarter, the Trojans were able to start their lead by scoring 19 to the Dolphins 16. They increased their lead in the second quarter outscoring the Dolphins 13-7 to lead 32-23 going into halftime. In the first half, the Trojans shot 40.6% from the field, 36.4% from 3's and 33.3% from free throws and the Dolphins shot 30% from the field, 66.7% from 3's and 50% from free throws. During the third quarter, the Trojans only outscored the Dolphins by one point, 13-12 to still lead 45-35. In the fourth quarter, the Dolphins came alive and caught up to the Trojans towards the end of the game. They outscored the Trojans 19-15, to come within 6 points. For the game, Everett shot 33.9% from the field, 26.3% from 3's and 56.5% from free throws, while Shoreline shot 30% from the field, 46.2% from 3's and 75% from free throws. Game Highs: Everett ~ Breezy Shore with 24 points, 11 rebounds & 6 assists; Jessalyn Reiter with 13 points. Shoreline ~ Enjunay Jones-Lee with 20 points; Darrien Dolquist-Larson with 14 points; Paris Sanders with 11 rebounds. Everett is now 7-6 in league and 14-13 overall. Shoreline is 4-9 in league and 6-16 overall. Trojan Men lose a heartbreaker to the Dolphins of Shoreline CC tonight, 67-73. There were 13 lead changes and 5 ties during the game with the largest lead being 10 points. The first half ended with the Trojans leading by one 33-32. Everett shot 43.3% from the field, 27.3% from 3 point range and 80% from free throws while Shoreline shot 44.8% from the field and 40% from 3 point range for the first half. The second half was all Everett up until close to the end when Shoreline got hot and took the lead and never let it go. They outscored the Trojans 41-3 4 to get the win. For the game, Everett shot 39.1% from the field, 23.3% from 3's and 66.7% from free throws and Shoreline shot 49% from the field, 44% from 3's and 80% from free throws. Game Highs: EvCC ~ Derek Brown Jr with 17 points, 8 rebounds & 5 assists; Said Hersi with 16 points & 5 assists; Noah Jones with 14 points & 7 rebounds. Everett is now 7-6 in league and 16-12 overall. Shoreline is now 5-8 in league and 10-14 overall.
     
  • 2/28 Final Regular League games vs Bellevue College - The final regular season league basketball games of the 2015-16 season will take place on Sunday, February 28th as the Trojans host the Bellevue College Bulldogs. The Women's game will start at 1:00pm with the Men's game following at 3:00pm. Before each game, we will recognize, acknowledge and thank our sophomores and their families for their hard work, dedication and being apart of the Trojan Family. Admission is $5.00 per person 12 years old and up. Current EvCC Students/Staff/Faculty are Free with current EvCC ID - ID must be shown to receive free admission! If you can't make it to the games in the Walt Price Student Fitness Center, you can still follow the action LIVE online with audio and/or video streaming.   • Basketball wins at Olympic College 2/20 - Results from basketball games at Olympic College on Saturday, Feb. 20th. The Women's games started at 2:00pm and in the first quarter, the Trojans outscored the Rangers 20-17. In the second quarter, the Trojans added one to their lead by scoring 13 to the Rangers 12 to lead at half time 33-29. During the first half, Everett shot 43.3% from the field, 40% from 3's and 42.9% from free throws and Olympic shot 29% from the field, 35.7% from 3's and 54.5% from free throws. In the third quarter, the Trojans added another 5 points to their lead scoring 21-16 over the Rangers. In the final quarter, the Rangers came back and it was tied coming down to the end of the game when Makaliah Johnson was fouled and hit both free throws to take the lead and win the game 74-72. There were 7 lead changes and 3 ties throughout the game. For the game, Everett shot 43.4% from the field, 27.3% from 3's and 68.8% from free throws and Olympic shot 38.8% from the field, 35.7% from 3's and 52.6% from free throws. Game Highs: EvCC ~ Breezy Shore with 18 points & 5 assists; Makaliah Johnson with 16 points; Lily Hilderbrand with 15 points & 6 rebounds; Jessalyn Reiter with 11 points. Everett Women are now 6-6 in league and 13-13 overall and Olympic Women are 3-9 in league and 8-16 overall.
    The Men's game started at 4:00pm and off of the tip, Olympic scored their first 3 pointer. For the game, there were 5 lead changes and 5 ties. Going into half time Everett lead 39-37. Trojans shot 50% from the field, 38.5% from 3's for the first half while the Rangers shot 43.3% from the field, 33.3% from 3's and 87.5% from free throws. During the second half, Trojan Derek Brown had a monster dunk as Everett outscored the Rangers 54-49 to win the game 93-86. For the game, Trojans shot 55% from the field, 48% from 3's and 55.6% from free throws and the Rangers shot 45.1% from the field, 39.3% from 3's and 73.3% from free throws.   • 2/27-2/28 Softball start their 2016 season at Inter-Region Tournament - The 2016 Softball Team will open their season by traveling to Yakima, WA to participate in the Inter-Region Tournament that is hosted by Yakima Valley CC. This is a two day tournament and Everett's first game is on Feb. 27th at 9:00 amd against Walla Walla CC with their second game being at 11:00am against Blue Mountain CC. On Feb. 28th, the Trojans will play at 8:00am vs Columbia Basin College and then at 12:00pm against Centralia College. Directions to the games are under the directions link to the right.
     
  • 6th NWAC Coaches Polls 2/18 - The NWAC released their sixth coaches polls of the 2015-16 Men's & Women's Basketball seasons on Thursday, February 18th. Once again there were 2 new teams on the Men's Poll. The next poll and final poll will be released on March 3rd.

  • Basketball splits at Skagit Valley College 2/17 - The Trojans were in Mt. Vernon, WA on Wednesday, Feb. 17th to play the Skagit Valley College Cardinals in league play. The Women's game started at 5:00pm and at the end of the 1st quarter, the Trojans had a 10 point lead 20-10. During the 2nd quarter, the Cardinals shortened that lead to 2 by outscoring the Trojans 22-14 to have the score going into half time 34-32 Trojan lead. For the 1st half, Everett shot 47.8% from the field, 33.3% from 3's and 80% from free throws. Skagit Valley shot 41.4% from the field, 45.5% from 3's and 50% from free throws. After halftime, the Cardinals outscored the Trojans 18-10 in the 3rd quarter to take the lead 50-44. In the 4th quarter, they outscored the Trojans again 13-10 to win the game 63-54. For the game, the Trojans shot 31.8% from the field, 21.1% from 3's and 75.9% from free throws while the Cardinals shot 43.8% from the field, 26.3% from 3's and 76.2% from free throws. Game Highs: EvCC ~ Breezy Shore with 16 points & 6 rebounds; Claire Fyfe with 12 points; Lily Hilderbrand with 10 points. SVC ~ Jordyn Turner with 17 points & 7 rebounds; Jenika Anglim had 15 points; Mandy Hayes had 14 points. Everett is now 5-6 in league and 12-13 overall. Skagit Valley is 9-2 in league and 19-8 overall. In the Men's game that started at 7:00pm, and in this game there were 6 lead changes and 5 ties. In the first half, the Trojans scored 57 to the Cardinals 43. Everett shot 63.6% from the field, 54.5% from 3 point range and 100% from free throws while Skagit shot 44.4% from the field, 41.7% from 3 point range and 75% from free throws. In the second half, the largest lead took place when Everett lead by 20. During the second half there was only a 4 point difference in scoring between the teams, with Everett scoring 56 and Skagit scoring 52, but with the lead from the first half plus those 4 points, Everett won the game 113-95. For the game, Everett shot 57.1% from the field, 45.8% from 3's and 68.8% from free throws. Skagit Valley shot 42.9% from the field, 36% from 3's and 86.7% from free throws.   • 2/24 Basketball hosts Shoreline CC - On Wednesday, February 24th, the Trojan Basketball Teams will host league games in the Walt Price Student Fitness Center with the Dolphins of Shoreline CC. Tip off for the Women's game will start at 5:00pm and the Men's tip off is set for 7:00pm Admission is $5.00 per person 12 years old and up. Current EvCC Students/Staff/Faculty are Free with current EvCC ID - ID must be shown to receive free admission!  If you can't make to the games, you can still watch and listen LIVE online.   • Trojans lose both to Peninsula at home 2/14 - The Trojan Women lost their league game with the Peninsula Pirates on Sunday, Feb. 14th. There were 4 ties and only one lead change in the game. The first quarter ended with Peninsula leading by 5 points, 17-12. In the second quarter there was only a three point difference, but that increased the Pirates lead to 8 to lead going into half time 33-25. For the 1st half, Everett shot 39.1% from the field, 40% from 3's and 50% from free throws while Peninsula shot 42.9% from the field and 27.3% from 3's. The third quarter ended with both teams scoring 13 points. While in the fourth quarter, the Pirates outscored the Trojans 21-5 to win the game 67-43. For the game, Everett shot 31.9% from the field, 27.3% from 3's and 63.6% from free throws and Peninsula shot 41% from the field, 22.2% from 3's and 72.2% from free throws. Game Highs: EvCC ~ Jessalyn Reiter had 9 points, Breezy Shore & Lily Hilderbrand each had 8 points. PC ~ Imani Smith had 19 points & 9 rebounds; Cherish Moss & Jenise McKnight each had 13 points. Everett is now 5-5 in league and 12-12 overall and Peninsula is 9-1 in league and 18-5 overall. The Trojan Men's Basketball Team lost a close game with the Pirates of Peninsula College. There were 8 ties and 12 lead changes throughout the game. During the first half the Pirates went on a 17-2 run at the start, but the Trojans came back and led at the half by two - 32-30. For the half, Everett shot 42.9% from the field, 50% from 3's and 100% from free throws. Peninsula shot 40% from the field, 36.4% from 3's and 40% from free throws. The second half finished with the Pirates outscoring the Trojans 39-33 to win the game 69-65. For the game, Everett shot 43.3% from the field, 42.9% from 3's and 66.7% from free throws. Peninsula shot 39.7% from the field, 29.2% from 3's and 66.7% from free throws. Game Highs: Everett ~ Derek Brown Jr with 27 points and 11 rebounds; Said Hersi with 15 points & Sean McLaughlin with 10 points. Peninsula ~ Ryley Callaghan & Darrion Daniels with 15 points each; Malik Mayeux with 14 points & 12 rebounds; Dimitri Amos with 14 points & 10 rebounds; Deonte Dixon wit 11 points. Everett is now 5-5 in league and 14-11 overall and Peninsula is 8-2 in league and 15-9 overall.
     
  • 2/20 Trojans in Bremerton, WA - On Saturday, February 20th, the Trojan Basketball Teams will be in Bremerton, WA to play league games with the Rangers of Olympic College.   • Both Basketball Teams win at Edmonds CC 2/10 - The Trojan Women beat Edmonds CC in Lynnwood, WA on Wednesday, Feb. 10th. Trojans led after 1st 13-6 then added another 10 in the 2nd to EdCC's 6 to lead 23-12 going into half time. For the 1st half, Everett shot 28.1% from the field, 20% from 3's and 50% from free throws while Edmonds shot 12.9% from the field, 14.3% from 3's and 75%from free throws. In the 3rd, Everett outscored Edmonds 17-12 to them lead 40-24. The 4th was the only quarter that Edmonds outscored Everett and it was only by 1, 9-8. Trojans win 48-33. For the game, Everett shot 27.1% from the field, 22.2% from 3's and 57.1%from free throws and Edmonds shot 22% from the field, 5.56% from 3's and 66.7% from free throws. Game Highs: EvCC ~ Lily Hilderbrand had 10 points & 12 rebounds; Breezy Shore had 9 points & 12 rebounds; Kaela Tyler had 9 points. EdCC ~ Shaleea Butler had 14 points & 6 rebounds; Ellie Green had 8 points & 7 rebounds. Everett is now 5-4 in league and 12-11 overall and Edmonds is 1-8 in league and 2-19 overall. The Trojan Men's Basketball Team also beat Edmonds CC in their league game.  The game itself had 9 lead changes and 8 ties from the beginning to end. The first half ended in a tie with both teams having 45 points. For the first half, Everett shot 51.5% from the field, 53.8% from 3's and 50% from free throws. Edmonds shot 44.4% from the field, 23.1% from 3's and 71.4% from free throws. During the second half, the Edmonds bench received it's second technical which resulted in the head coach being ejected from the game. It was also during the second half that the largest lead took place when Everett had a 15 point lead. At the end of the second half, Everett had outscored Edmonds 46-35 to win the game 91-80. For the game, Everett shot 46.2% from the field & from 3's and 61.3% from free throws while Edmonds shot 40.6% from the field, 18.5% from 3's and 73.1% from free throws. Game Highs: Trojans - Said Hersi had 27 points; Derek Brown Jr had 21 points & 6 rebounds; Quadir Williams had 15 points & 10 assists; Noah Jones had 12 points. Tritons - Dylan Carter had 22 points; Zach Walton had 12 points & 13 rebounds; Loren LaCasse had 11 points & 10 rebounds. Giovanni Williams had 10 points & 11 rebounds.   • Basketball lose both to Whatcom CC 2/6 - The 2nd half of the 2015-16 league season started today as the Trojans hosted the Orcas of Whatcom CC.  Trojan Women lose a close one 72-75 to the Orcas this afternoon. The first quarter had the Orcas leading by 1, 17-16. At the end of the second quarter, the Orcas led 34-31. For the first half, Everett shot 36.1% from the field, 23.5% from 3's and 50% from free throws. Whatcom shot 44.1% from the field, 22.2% from 3's and 50% from free throws. In the third quarter, both teams finished with 20 points but the Orcas maintained the lead, 54-51. In the final quarter, again both teams scored 21 points, but the Orcas retained that 3 point lead to win the game. For the game, Everett shot 34.5% from the field, 26.5% from 3's and 50% from free throws while Whatcom shot 46.3% from the field, 31.6% from 3's and 43.8% from free throws. Game Highs: EvCC ~ Jessalyn Reiter had 21 points & 6 rebounds; Breezy Shore had 19 points, 8 rebounds & 7 assists; Claire Fyfe had 16 points & 8 rebounds. WCC ~ Lindsey Honeycutt had 28 points & 13 rebounds; Bella Nigretto had 16 points & 9 rebounds; Nicole Williams had 11 points & 7 rebound. Everett is now 4-4 in league and 11-11 overall and Whatcom is 2-6 in league and 2-17 overall. Trojan Men's Basketball lose 89-76 to Whatcom CC at home this evening. In the first half, the Orcas outscored the Trojans 51-30. For the first half, the Trojans shot 40.7% from the field, 28.6% from 3's and 57.1% from free throws and the Orcas shot 64.7% from the field, 50% from 3's and 40% from free throws. The largest lead took place in the second half at 22 points. For the game there were 5 lead changes and 0 ties. In the second half, the Trojans outscored the Orcas 46-38, however it wasn't enough to overcome the first half deficit. For the game, Everett shot 44.1% from the field, 26.7% from 3's and 72.7% from free throws while Whatcom shot 52.5% from the field, 40% from 3's and 61.3% from free throws. Game Highs: Everett ~ Said Hersi with 17 points & 7 rebounds; Sean McLaughlin, Quadir Williams & Derek Brown Jr each had 15 points; Noah Jones with 11 points.   • 5th NWAC Coaches Polls released 2/4 - The NWAC released the fifth coaches polls of the 2015-16 Men's & Women's Basketball seasons on Thursday, February 4th. Once again there were 2 new teams on the Men's Poll and 1 on the the Women's. The next poll will be released on February 18th.

  • W. Soccer sophomore & W. Basketball freshman L. Allison signs National LOI 2/3 - Congratulations to Lauren Allison on signing her National Letter of Intent to play Women's Soccer at Saint Martin's University in the fall of 2016. Allison played the past two soccer seasons and is playing basketball right now for the Trojans. As a freshman soccer player, she was named NWAC Tournament MVP, Northern Region All-Star Forward and she was named the 2014-15 EvCC Female Athlete of the Year. As a sophomore soccer player she was named Northern Region MVP. Trojan Athletics wishes her nothing but the best as she moves onto Saint Martin's University to continue her education and soccer career.

  • Trojans lose both at Bellevue 1/30 - On Saturday, January 30th, the Trojan Basketball Teams were in Bellevue, WA to play leaguegames with the Bellevue College Bulldogs. In the Women's game that started at 4:00pm, the first quarter ended with the Bulldogs leading by 5 points - 18-13. In the second quarter although both teams scored 13 points, the Bulldogs still lead going into half time 31-26. For the first half, Bellevue shot 36.7% from the field, 27.3% from 3's and 100% from free throws with Everett shooting 41.4% from the field & 25% from 3's. During the third quarter, Bellevue outscored the Trojans 26-18 to increase their 5 point lead to a 13 point lead going into the final quarter. At the completion of the fourth quarter, Bellevue added 6 more points to their lead to win the game 73-54. For the game, Everett shot 37.9% from the field, 35.7% from 3 point range and 62.5% from free throws while Bellevue shot 47.5% from the field, 47.4% from 3 point range and 80% from free throws. In the first half, the largest lead margin of the game was at 22 points. Going into half time, Bellevue led 52-38. For the first half, Everett shot 31.6% from the field, 18.8% from 3 point range and 100% from free throws while Bellevue shot 57.9% from the field, 42.9% from 3 point range and 66.7% from free throws. In the second half, Everett outscored Bellevue 62-60 but it wasn't enough to get the "W", Bellevue won 112-100. For the game, Everett shot 36.9% from the field, 23.5% from 3's and 93.8% from free throws and Bellevue shot 59.4% from the field, 50% from 3's and 86.4% from free throws.   • Basketball wins big at Shoreline CC 1/27 - The Men's & Women's Basketball Teams were at Shoreline CC on Wednesday, January 27th to play league games with the Dolphins. The Women started at 5:30pm and the first quarter ended in a tie at 14 a piece. The second quarter had the Dolphins scoring three more than the Trojans to go into half time ahead 30-27. During the third quarter, the Trojans came back and scored 9 more than the Dolphins to take the lead 44-38. The Trojans broke it wide open in the fourth quarter scoring 21 points to the Dolphins 8 points to win the game 65-46. For the game, Everett shot 40% from the field, 27% from 3's and 71% from free throws while Shoreline shot 31% from the field, 18% from 3's and 82% from free throws. Game Highs: Everett ~ Breezy Shore with 18 points & 7 rebounds; Lily Hilderbrand with 11 points & 10 rebounds; Jessalyn Reiter with 11 points; Chellyn Perea with 10 points. Everett shot 57.1% from the field, 57.1% from 3's and 77.8% from free throws and Shoreline shot 36.1% from the field, 14.3% from 3's and 60% from free throws. In the second half, though the Trojans scored less than they did in the first half, they still scored 52 points while the Dolphins only scored 41. Trojans won 107-72. For the game, Everett shot 57.1% from the field, 53.3% from 3's and 78.6% from free throws while Shoreline shot 36.5% from the field, 21.4% from 3's and 44.4% from free throws.   • Trojans split with Olympic 1/23 -  The Trojan Women's game began at 4:00pm hosting the Olympic Rangers at the Walt Price Student Fitness Center. The two teams began neck and neck, each scoring 10 points in the first quarter. Second quarter remained close with the Olympic Rangers earning a two point lead, making the score 31-29. By third quarter the Rangers had a steady lead 52-43 over our Everett Trojans. Fourth quarter the Trojan ladies came out strong scoring 23 points against the opposing team only scoring 10 making the final score 66-63 defeating the Rangers! For the game, Everett shot 41.2% from the field, 35.3% from 3's and 72% from free throws while Olympic shot 44.6% from the field, 26.1% from 3's and 70% from free throws. Game Highs: Everett ~Breezy Shore scored 31 points!! Lily Hilderbrand scored 8 and Jessalyn Reiter scored 6. Olympic Rangers ~ Diamond Carter scored 15. Tiffani Ferrel scored 12 and Hayden Craig scored 11. Trojan Women are now 3-2 in league and 10-9 overall and Ranger Women are 0-5 in league and 5-12 overall.  The Trojan Men's Basketball lose a heartbreaker to Olympic College on Saturday, Jan. 23rd in the Walt Price Student Fitness Center. The first half started at 6:00pm and was back and forth for the majority of the half, with 8 lead changes and 7 ties. It was tied at 52 going into half time. For the 1st half, Everett shot 53.8% from the field, 26.3% from 3's and 83.3% from free throws. Olympic shot 56.4% from the field, 50% from 3's and 25% from free throws. Once the second half started, there were 6 lead changes and 1 tie, and towards the end, the Rangers jumped ahead and stayed there, going on to win the game 104-90. For the game Everett shot 40% from the field, 27.9% from 3's and 76.9% from free throws while Olympic shot 59.7% from the field, 38.9% from 3's and 33.3% from free throws.   • Trojans lose both in Port Angeles 1/16 - The Trojans were in Port Angeles, WA on Saturday, Jan. 16th to play the Pirates of Peninsula College. The Women started the afternoon off at 4:00pm. In the first quarter, the Trojan struggled to score. Peninsula scored 22 to Everett's 9. During the second quarter, the Trojans came alive and scored 18 while the Pirates scored 20 to go into half time ahead 42-27. In the 1st half, Everett shot 31.3% from the field, 30.8% from 3's and 100% from free throws, and Peninsula shot 44.1% from the field, 45.5% from 3's and 70% from free throws. After half time, Peninsula came out and scored another 20 points to Everett's 11 to increase their lead to 62-38 going into the final quarter. In the fourth quarter, the Trojans were able to outscore the Pirates, but it was only by 2 points. 17-15 and definitely not enough to overcome the point deficit. Pirates win 77-55. For the game, the Trojans shot 31.1% from the field, 32% from 3's and 69.2% from free throws and the Pirates shot 42.2% from the field, 41.2% from 3's and 80% from free throws. Game Highs: EvCC ~ Breezy Shore had 21 points & 4 rebounds; Lauren Allison had 9 points & 4 rebounds. PC ~ Cierra Moss had 17 points & 7 rebounds; Jenise McKnight had 12 points; Daijhan Cooks had 10 points & 6 rebounds; Zhara Laster had 11 rebounds. Everett is now 2-1 in league and 9-8 overall and Peninsula is 3-0 in league and 12-4 overall. During the Men's game that started at 6:00pm, the Trojans started out very slow, allowing the Pirates to get a 32 point lead towards the end of the first half. For the first half, Everett shot 26.5% from the field, 25% from 3's and 44.4% from free throws and Peninsula shot 58.1% from the field, 43.8% from 3's and 100% from free throws. They were able to shorten that 32 point lead down to a 24 point lead going into half time. Everett 26 Peninsula 50. Once the second half started, the Trojans came out on fire! They cut the Pirates lead down to 3 and even had 2 ties. However, it wasn't enough to get the win. Peninsula wins 99-90. For the game, Everett shot 40.55 from the field, 37.1% from 3's and 50% from free throws while Peninsula shot 56.9% from the field, 36.7% from 3's and 69.7 % from free throws.   • 1/23 Basketball hosts Olympic College - Saturday, January 23rd has the Trojans hosting league games in the Walt Price Student Fitness Center against the Rangers of Olympic College. The Tip-off for the Women's game is at 4:00pm and for the Men's game  it's at 6:00pm. Admission is $5.00 per person, 12 years and up, or FREE for current EvCC Students/Staff/Faculty when they show their current EvCC ID to the entry door.   • Trojans win both vs Edmonds 1/13 - The Trojan Women's Basketball Team hosted and beat the Tritons of Edmonds CC in league play with a score of 67-40 on Wednesday, Jan. 13th. In the 1st quarter, the Trojans were hot and scored 22 points to the Tritons 9, with a 17-2 run in the beginning of the game. In the 2nd quarter, the Trojans scored 19 to the 11 of the Tritons to make it 41-20 going into half time. In the first half, Everett shot 38.6% from the field, 37.5% from 3 point range and 33.3% from free throws while Edmonds shot 23.3% from the field, 22.2% from 3 point range and 57.1% from free throws. After half time, the quarter score was close, with Everett scoring 18 to Edmonds 12. In the final quarter, both teams played good defense and each only scored 8 points. For the game, Everett shot 35% from the field, 36% from 3 pointers and 40% from free throws and Edmonds shot 26.3% from the field, 17.6% from 3 pointers and 46.7% from free throws. Game Highs: Everett ~ Breezy Shore had 18 points & 7 rebounds; Claire Fyfe had 10 points & 8 rebounds; Kaela Tyler had 10 points & 7 rebounds; Jessalyn Reiter had 10 points; Lily Hilderbrand had 12 rebounds. The Trojans Men's Basketball team came out with the win over the Edmonds CC Tritons in their second league game on the 13th of Jan, finishing with a score of 99-90 at home. The Trojans started the first half off red hot shooting 44.7% from the field to go along with a 14-0 run early in the half. The Tritons also shot the ball well in the first half with 42.1% from the field. At the end of the first half, the score was tied 43-43 with Everett having made 6/18 from 3pt range to the Tritons' 3/11. Moving into the second half, the Trojans and Tritons traded buckets back and forth with a total of 13 lead changes, 7 ties, and a team high Edmonds run of 11-1. The Trojans shot 48.6% overall from the field to go along with 88.9% from the free throw line. The Tritions shot 43.2% from the field and 84.6% from the free throw line. The last few minutes of the game was a hard fought battle between the two teams. In the end, the Trojans came out on top. The Trojans leading scorer Derek Brown Jr. finished with a game high 34 points to go along with 10 rebounds, followed by Quadir Williams with 21 points, 6 assists, Said Hersi with 19 points, 4 rebounds, and Brevin Brown with 10 points. The leading scorer for the Tritions finishing with 25 points and 11 rebounds was Zach Walton, followed by Giovanni Williams with 23 points, 7 rebounds, Jas Caulson with 14 points, 4 rebounds, and Dylan Carter with 11 points. Whatcom shot 27.5% from the field and was 66.7% from free throw. At halftime the score was 31-26 with Everett leading. For the game, Everett shot 35.9% from the field, 16% from the 3 pointers and 66.7% from the free throw line. Whatcom shot 51.7% from the field and 58.3% from the free throw line. In the 1st half, Everett shot 22.6% from the field, 12.5% from 3 pointers and 63.6% from free throws. Whatcom shot 34.3% from the field, 29.4% from 3 pointers and 50% from free throws in the first half. After halftime, the Trojans came out on fire! They not only made up that ten point difference but went ahead and stayed ahead for the rest of the game besides a couple of times the Orcas tied the game up. When the final buzzer sounded, Everett won with a score of 72-66. For the game, the Trojans shot 33.8% from the field, 28.9% from 3 point range and 77.3% from free throws while the Orcas shot 41.7% from the field, 30.4% from 3 point range and 52.9% from free throws.   • 1/16 Basketball at Peninsula College - On Saturday, January 16th, the Trojan Basketball Teams will be in Port Angeles, WA to play the Peninsula College Pirates in league games. The Women's game will start at 4:00pm followed by the Men's game at 6:00pm. Directions to the games is under the directions link to the right.   • 3rd NWAC Coaches Polls released 1/7 - On January 7th, the NWAC released the third coaches polls of the 2015-16 Men's & Women's Basketball seasons. There were 2 new teams on the Men's Poll and 1 on the the Women's. On the Men's Poll, Everett was voted out of the #3 spot from the previous poll, but did receive votes! The next poll will be released on January 21st.

  • 1/13 Trojan Basketball hosts Edmonds CC - The Men's & Women's Basketball Teams will host the Tritons of Edmonds CC in league games on Wednesday, Jan. 13th. The games will be played in the Walt Price Student Fitness Center. Tip-off for the Women's game is at 5:00pm and the Men's game at 7:00pm. Admission is $5.00 per person 12 years old and up. Current EvCC Students/Staff/Faculty are Free with current EvCC ID - ID must be shown to receive free admission! It is also TROJAN NATION GAME NIGHT hosted by EvCC Student LIFE. There will be halftime 3 point competitions (1 ticket per made 3 pointer, with 1 lucky winner receiving a gift basket), free popcorn for everyone, also you can receive a free door prize if you bring a non-perishable can of food to the game. You can also purchase your Trojan Nation gear with all proceeds going to Trojan Athletic scholarships. These games will be live streamed - Audio & Video. For audio - please follow the directions under the Listen LIVE link to the right. Video streaming can be watched at https://livestream.com/evcc and will be in full HD along with play by play like the Audio.
     
  • MBKB finishes non-league w/win over WWCC 1/3 - Trojan Men beat Walla Walla CC Warriors 77-72 at home on Sunday, January 3rd. The Trojans had a 46-38 lead going into half time. In the 1st half the Trojans shot 50% from the field, 33.3% from 3's and 78.6% from free throw and the Warriors shot 38.9% from the field, 27.8% from 3's and 38.5% from free throws. During the second half, the Warriors outscored the Trojans 34-31, but alas, it was not enough to beat the Trojans. In the 2nd half, the Trojans shot 39.1% from the field, 30% from 3's and 70% from free throws. The Warriors shot 34.7% from the field, 22.2% from 3's and 57.1% from free throws. Game Highs: EvCC ~ Derek Brown Jr. had 26 points & 8 rebounds & 6 assists; Quadir Williams had 11 points & 10 rebounds; Forest Grant had 10 points & 7 rebounds. WWCC ~ Devan Kohn had 21 points & 9 rebounds & 4 assists; Roman McKnight had 19 points & 9 rebounds; Mitch Mueller had 14 points & 4 boards. EvCC is now 9-6 overall, WWCC is now 6-9 overall.
     
  • Men's Basketball lose to Spokane 1/2 - The Trojan Men's Basketball Team lost a close one at the end to the Sasquatch from the CC's of Spokane, 97-103. The first half ended with Spokane leading 51-44. In the 1st half, Everett shot 47.4% from the field, 30.8% from 3's, and 50% from free throws. Spokane shot 45.9% from the field, 26.3% from 3's and 80% from free throws. In the second half, the Trojans outscored the Sasquatch by one point, 53-52. but it wasn't enough to overcome the first half deficit. Everett shot for the game, 46.7% from the field, 27.3% from 3's and 44.4% from free throws. Spokane shot 48.6% from the field, 31.3% from 3's and 69.7% from free throws. Everett only shot 9 free throws while Spokane shot 33.   • 1/9 Basketball opens league play @ Whatcom CC - On Saturday, January 9th, the Trojan Basketball Teams will be in Bellingham, WA to play the Orcas of Whatcom CC. These games are the first league games for the Trojans & the Orcas of the 2015-16 season. The Women will start at 1:00pm with the Men following at 3:00pm.   • Women's Basketball wins non-league game 12/31 - The Trojans hosted a non-league game on Thursday, December 31st with the Vikings of Big Bend CC. The game started at 2:00pm in the Walt Price Student Fitness Center. In the 1st quarter, the Trojans took off from tip-off and at one point leading by 14 points. There were 9 lead changes and 7 ties throughout the game. First quarter ends with Everett 23, Big Bend 14. The Vikings came back in the 2nd quarter, outscoring the Trojans 20-16 to make it 39-34 Trojan lead into halftime. For the 1st half, EvCC shot 40.5% from the field, 22.2% from 3's and 70% from free throws. BBCC shot 37.1% from the field, 33.3%v from 3's and 25% from free throws. Into the 3rd quarter, the Vikings again outscored the Trojans, this time by 3, 17-14 to make it a 53-51 game, with Everett still ahead. The final quarter, the Vikings kept tying it up until the Trojans got the lead and kept it to the end, winning 75-68. For the game, Everett shot 41.4% from the field, 22.2% from 3's and 65% from free throws. Big Bend shot 37.7% from the field, 27.5% from 3's and 38.5% from free throws.   • M. Basketball game 2 results from ClCC Tournament 12/29 -  The Trojans played at 7pm on Dec.29th and during the game with the host school, Clackamas CC there were 14 lead changes and 8 ties. In the 1st half, the Trojans shot 42.1% from the field, 47.4% from 3's and 75% from free throws and scored 47 points. The Cougars shot 45.9% from the field, 25% from 3's and 68.4% from free throws and scored 49 points. The second half went back and forth for a while and then the Trojans took off. The Trojans scored 63 while the Cougars scored 52. Trojans win 110-101. Everett shot for the game - 52.6% from the field, 50% from 3's and 75% from free throws. Clackamas shot for the game - 47.2% from the field, 43.5% from 3's and 71.9% from free throws. Game Highs: Everett ~ Brevin Brown had 27 points & 6 rebounds; Derek Brown Jr had 19 points & 7 rebounds; Noah Jones had 18 points; Sean McLaughlin had 12 points; Quadir Williams had 9 points & 12 assists and Said Hersi had 9 points. Basketball game 2 results from ChCC Tournament 12/29 - In the Women's Basketball loser out game that took place at Chemeketa CC today against the Roadrunners of Linn-Benton CC, the Trojans lost 77-80. At the end of the 1st quarter, the Roadrunners had a 5 point lead - 19-14. Going into halftime, Everett trailed 31-40. The Trojans came back in the 3rd quarter to take a 1 point lead going into the 4th quarter, 52-51. The 4th quarter, was the highest scoring quarter for both teams. Everett scored 25 while Linn-Benton scored 29. That 4 point difference, allowed LBCC to win the game by 3 - 80-77. For the game, Everett shot 33% from the field, 21.7% from 3's and 84.6% from free throws. Linn-Benton shot 40.9% from the field, 33.3% from 3's and 68.1% from free throws. Game Highs: EvCC ~ Breezy Shore had 21 points & 12 rebounds; Lily Hilderbrand had 21 points & 7 rebounds; Jessalyn Reiter had 19 points. LBCC ~ Breanna Bronson had 17 points & 8 rebounds; Nicole Magnuson had 16 points; Bailee Tally had 14 points; Hannah Creswick had 12 points; Kyia Duvall had 11 points.   • Men's Basketball beats YVCC in game 1 at Clackamas Holiday Tournament 12/28 - In the Men's Basketball game with the Yaks of Yakima Valley CC at the Clackamas CC Holiday Tournament, the Trojans trailed at halftime by 6, 40-46. There were 5 lead changes and 5 ties during the game. For the first half, Everett shot 41.9% from the field, 41.2% from 3's and 87.5% from free throws. Yakima Valley shot 57.6% from the field, 41.7% from 3's and 50% from free throws. At the start of the 2nd half, the Yaks went on a 17-3 run to take a commanding lead. At one point the Yaks had a 20 point lead. The Trojans weren't done fighting though and they themselves went on a 19-3 run to come back and tie the game up to send it to overtime 82-82. In overtime, the Trojans scored 11 points with the Yaks scoring 9. With about .03 seconds left, Quadir Williams scored the winning basket for the Trojans. For the game, EvCC shot 39.1% from the field, 33.3% from 3's and 83.3% from free throws. YVCC shot 46.7% from the field, 36.4% from 3's and 56.5% from free throws.   • Trojan Women lose to Lane CC in Chemeketa Tournament game 1 12/28 - The first game for the Trojans was on Dec. 28th in Salem, OR. In the 58-103 loss to the Titans of Lane CC at the Chemeketa CC Tournament, the Trojan Women's Basketball Team didn't shoot as well as they normally do. For the game, the Trojans shot 30.4% from the field, 23.1% from three pointers and 88.9% from free throws. The Titans shot 58.4% from the field, 56.6% from three pointers and 50% from free throws. In the first quarter, Everett scored 12 points while Lane scored 29. Going into half time, Lane led 56-28. In the third quarter, the Trojans added 19 but the Titans added 21 to then lead 77-47. Then in the fourth quarter, Lane held the Trojans to just 11 points while gaining 26 points themselves. Game Highs: EvCC ~ Breezy Shore 25 points, 5 rebounds, & 3 steals; Jessalyn Reiter 7 rebounds. Lane CC ~ Gabby Heehn 23 points; Bre DuBois 20 points & 5 rebounds; Mallory Shields 15 points; Shelby Snook 12 points, 8 rebounds & 14 assists.
