In January 2010, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, a disease that decreases cognitive and physical abilities over the course of a decade or so, often resulting in disability or sometimes death; there is no cure. Possessing the films of each scan, I have translated and altered select images from my brain as a form of documentation. These scans are sublime records of specific points in time.

I like to push the limits of my medium and work in unconventional ways, which also means that I often create new tools and methods. A variety of intentions may come into play as the work is being conceived, but in the end, success is dependent on how it is received by those who experience it. Do they look at it? Are they happy to have seen it? Do they tell their friends to see it? Did they learn something new?

Art On Campus
We believe that works of art enrich our college environment and expand the awareness of students, the campus, and the community as a whole. In addition to the permanent collection, the college hosts an annual Outdoor Sculpture Garden.
