EVERETT, Wash. – Everett Community College’s Early Learning Center, which provides care for children ages 1 to 5 years old, is enrolling now for 2014-15.
The Early Learning Center is expanding its hours starting June 30, offering care 7:15 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. Monday through Friday. The ELC is located at 820 Waverly Ave., on EvCC's campus.
Families can choose to enroll for a single academic quarter, the full academic year or full-time, full-year care. The center also offers free preschool (Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program) for qualifying families.
“The Early Learning Center provides high-quality care and education to children from the families of EvCC students, staff and faculty, as well as our community,” said ELC Director Holly McFaul. “ELC teachers respond to each child’s individual needs by providing warm and responsive communication, gentle guidance and positive learning opportunities.”
The center serves up to 72 children.
“As a parent with two children at the Early Learning Center, I know it is much more than just child care. Their early learning programming is the best I've encountered in the area (from doing research and shopping around), and I would bet, one of the best in the state,” said parent Brett Kuwada. “The staff is committed to the children with a specific focus on their healthy growth and development. Their child-centered, and guided, curriculum encourages the children to become a part of the learning process and teaches them to become advocates for their own learning interests.”
