50th Anniversary Celebration!

Everett Community College’s Aviation Maintenance Technician School celebrated 50 years of licensed operation at Paine Field Oct. 11, 2017. More than 90 guests heard from former EvCC President Bob Drewel, retired director of applied technology Rick Lengyel, former instructor Bill Loomis, and Delta Air Lines partner Mike Hagler. Current aviation maintenance technician student Dre Stidwell also spoke to the crowd about his appreciation of the program. 
Did you know? EvCC’s Aviation Maintenance Technician School started in 1967 in a converted military commissary at Paine Field. The school received its Federal Aviation Administration license in 1968, and moved to its current home near the Paine Field main terminal in 1985.
