Transitional Studies - Basic Skills

Winter Quarter classes begin on January 8, 2018

EvCC's Transitional Studies Division helps students improve their basic skills, upgrade job skills, and prepare for college-level courses. In order to take classes, you must sign up for an Orientation/CASAS Assessment. We will offer orientations on the following dates in December. Check your calendar and click on the date you would like to sign up for.

ELA (English as a Second Language) Orientation/CASAS Assessment Dates:
Monday, December 4 @ 5 - 9 pm
Wednesday, December 6 @ 5 - 9 pm
Friday, December 8 @ 1 - 5 pm
Tuesday, December 12 @ 1 - 5 pm
Thursday, December 14 @ 1 - 5 pm
Tuesday, December 19 @ 1 - 5 pm

TS Orientation/CASAS Assessment Dates:
Thursday, December 7 @ 5 - 9 pm
Monday, December 11 @ 1 - 5 pm
Wednesday, December 13 @ 1 - 5 pm
Friday, December 15 @ 1 - 5 pm
Monday, December 18 @ 5 - 9 pm

What to bring to the CASAS Assessment:

  • Current driver's license or ID card (not expired)
  • Social Security Number (if you have one)
  • High School Transcript(s)
  • $25 for registration
