Student Spotlight: Athena Harper
Monroe resident Athena Harper took all the classes she needed for her university transfer degree at the East County Campus - without leaving her hometown. Not only were her classes five minutes from home, she also benefitted from the encouraging, helpful and personable faculty and staff members who helped her succeed. She's on her way to finish her bachelor's degree at Western Washington University.
"My advice would be to not be afraid to reach out to teachers/staff for help because they really are there to help you succeed, and genuinely care about their students!" Athena says. "I have experienced it for myself firsthand." Read Athena's story.
