Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM)

Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM)

The Everett Community College (EvCC) Strategic Plan states that ‘We provide open access to affordable education to all members of our community’ and ‘We measure our success by each student’s achievement of educational, personal, and professional goals.’  To help realize these and other Strategic Plan Core Themes, EvCC is developing a Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM) plan.

Our SEM goal is to create a strong and growing pipeline of students enrolling in the institution that are served seamlessly en route to achieving their education and career goals.

EvCC’s SEM Team includes representatives from across campus and the community who participate in the SEM Council, Faculty Advisory Council, K-12 Advisory Group, and a number of task forces and work teams. Since Fall of 2016 the SEM Team has worked toward creating a comprehensive, institution-wide plan that is aligned with Guided Pathways and Achieving the Dream efforts.

SEM has given me the unique opportunity to view the college as a whole institution, to be mindful of the bigger picture in regards to budget, planning, retention, and student success, and to share this with my department. I appreciate the chance to advocate for Transitional Studies students and to improve their opportunities for transitioning to college and vocational programs. - Jennifer Jennings, Tenure-Track Faculty, Transitional Studies
