This nomadic community survives on very little money, but are rich in culture, from their traditions surrounding cobras, and their impeccable fashion sense that blends traditional Northwest Indian style with a kaleidoscopic 1970s flair. While learning about this creative and resourceful group of people, it's impossible not to be in awe.

Pixel art's an interesting, niche medium that has unique aesthetics, qualities, and limitations. It's commonly associated with video games but can definitely be used for more traditional themes.

Based on a still from the TV series "Angel", this piece portrays a ballerina waiting in the wings for her cue. This piece calls to mind the all consuming nature of professional dance, and just how many sacrifices must be made to pursue what you love. Behind her is written the lyrics to the sing "Ballerina" by nat King Cole. With the forlorn expression on her face, it makes you wonder...Is it worth it?

Watercolor piece takes inspiration from the ever growing AI art movement. Below, dancers are spot lighted, posed in a scene from Adam's ballet "Giselle". The ghostly Giselle drapes herself cruciform in protection of her love, Albrecht to protect him from the ever encroaching darkness, with computer binary coding cascading down upon them from above. The translated binary reads a quote from the 2007 science fiction show TERMINATOR: The Sarah Connor Chronicles:
"We all have weak moments. Moments where we lose faith. But it's our flaws, our weaknesses that make us human. Science performs miracles like the gods of old. Creating life from blood cells or bacteria or a spark of metal but they're perfect creatures and in that way they couldn't be less human. There are things machines will never do. They cannot possess faith, they cannot commune with God, they cannot appreciate beauty, they cannot create art. If they ever learn these things, they won't have to destroy us. They'll be us."
