Space Management
- Director oversees Conference Services and Space Management
- The Building and campus utilization process, is currently hard to determine due to outdated software.
- Funding for Conference Services is through the Operating Budget whereas Space Management local and state.
- Conference Services department works closely with Athletics and PEHW on events taking place at the Walt Price Fitness Center.
- Conference Services works closely with Sustainability Department to ensure events are cost/emissions efficient.
- Revenue collected on events held at our Walt Price Fitness Center assist in providing Athletic Scholarships to students.
Capital Funding
Legislatively divided funds are available to the thirty-four colleges on a competitive basis on a set schedule.These capitalized funds are restricted for specific use by the State Board of Community and Technical Colleges and the Legislature and cannot be used as operating dollars.
Capital funding is generally broken down into the following categories:
- Growth or Replacement (new buildings)
- Repair (Building Envelope, Internal Infrastructure, Roof)
- Minor Works ( Building Upgrades)
- Infrastructure (transformers, exterior walkways and bridges, underground utilities, etc.)
- Other projects (Smaller scale renovations, maintenance support dollars specifically deemed for use by legislature, other).

- Demolition of Rite Aid, Royal Motor Inn, Frasier’s and the Brown House (buildings along Broadway) – 2012
- Jackson and Parks Hall Boiler Replacement - 2013

- Aviation piping, restroom and lunchroom remodel - 2015
- AMTEC Phase 1 and Phase 2 construction – 2014 -2016

Below each chart are the amounts of funding applied for and granted to EvCC by various utilities which was used both separately as well as in combination with Capital funding to either complete or enhance the efficiency of Capital projects.
Capital Funding Received 2009-2011 biennium = 32,630,200 (Includes new building)
- $77,000 in efficiency funding for campus sustainability from PUD via Commercial Grant Program.
- $400,000 Commerce Department Energy Grant / Rainier Boiler Installation
- $100,000 in energy efficiency upgrade funding from PUD (Relamping Projects)
- $8,000 in energy efficiency upgrades funded by PSE (Boiler Efficiency Upgrades)
Capital Funding Requested 2011-2013 biennium = 41,281,903 (Includes new building)
- $37,000 in efficiency funding for campus sustainability from PUD via Commercial Grant Program
- $188,000 Commerce and other funding for Shuksan Boiler Installation
- $80,000 in PUD funding for energy efficiency upgrades (Relamping Projects)
- $6.000 in boiler efficiency upgrades funded by PSE (Boiler efficiency upgrades)
Capital Funding Projection 2013-2015 biennium = 2,745,000
- $184,000 combined PUD grant and Legislative funding for Liberty Solar Array
- $40,000 in energy efficiency upgrades funded by PUD (Relamping Projects)
- $80,000 PUD (Exterior Lighting LED project)
