Board of Trustees 2020-21 Priorities

In 2020–2021 EvCC's Board of Trustees has established the following annual priorities in support of the achievement of the Core Themes:

1. Ensure a smooth transition and successful onboarding of the new president by implementing the Board’s transition plan and to set the stage for a successful second year.
2. Advance equity and social justice through institutional and cultural change, develop a common understanding of equity, and increase employee and student diversity in order to cultivate a pervasive campus culture of respect, advocacy, and engagement for all.
3. Respond to challenges, opportunities, and disruptions presented by COVID-19, focusing on a student’s-first mindset and the health and safety of our college community.
4. Monitor and provide guidance in prudent fiscal management, encourage innovation in creating new sources of funding, and support effective infrastructure growth and maintenance.
5. Embark on the planning and development of a new Five-Year Strategic Plan that will focus on teaching and learning, enrollment and retention, innovation, Guided Pathways, and the 5 Dimensions of Equity.
