Emergency Alerts

Emergency Closures

If there is no closure message, Everett Community College (EvCC) is operating as usual.

When the college is closed, all locations and all classes (in-person and online) are canceled, unless otherwise noted. For inclement weather, we follow our weather closure process. Closure information is posted by 5 a.m. for day classes and 4 p.m. for evening classes, if possible.

Emergency Notifications

When EvCC closes unexpectedly or faces an emergency, notifications are sent in multiple ways:

  • Text and email alerts (automatic for students and employees, and others can subscribe)
  • An alert banner at the top of the EvCC website
  • A recorded message on the college’s main phone line: 425-388-9100
  • Posts on EvCC’s Facebook and X pages
  • During business hours, loudspeaker messages played throughout the main campus through Informacast

EvCC uses Rave to send official emergency notifications by email and text message.

For EvCC Students, Faculty and Staff

Students and employees are automatically subscribed to receive EvCC Rave Alerts via SMS text message and personal email. We send those alerts to the mobile phone number and/or personal email addresses you list in ctcLink. We also send alerts to all EvCC student and employee emails.

For Parents, Neighbors and Community Members

Community members can also sign up to receive EvCC emergency alerts. To sign up, visit EvCC’s public Rave page and select Register.

No Spam

This system is intended specifically for communicating emergency notifications. The college will never send advertising or non-emergency announcements on this system.

Emergency Alert System Tests

EvCC conducts quarterly tests of the emergency alert system to ensure it’s working correctly. This includes a test of the Rave and Informacast systems.

Upcoming tests are scheduled for:

  • 2 p.m. Feb. 27, 2026
  • 10:30 a.m. April 20, 2026
