Health Insurance Information
Health Insurance Requirements at Everett Community College
If you have an F-1 visa and study at Everett Community College, you must have health insurance through the college's medical plan every quarter you attend.
The Insurance Plan
Everett Community College uses Cigna Healthcare Student Insurance. The plan covers doctor visits, hospital stays, dental care and vision care. There is no waiting period for pre-existing conditions, which means health problems you had before getting the insurance are covered right
away.

Who Needs this Insurance
You need this insurance if you have a valid F-1 visa, are an international student, currently live outside your home country and are taking classes at Everett Community College.
Waiver Options
The college requires all international students to have this insurance. However, you can ask for a waiver in special situations. A waiver gives you permission to skip the insurance requirement. You can request a waiver if you plan to leave the country for a vacation quarter. The college will review your request and let you know if it approves it. For more information about vacation quarter, click here.
To ask for a waiver for any other reason, email internationaleducation@everettcc.edu.
