Become a Student - High School Diploma, GED, Pre-College

Apply for Admission Online

All new students must apply for admission before making any type of advising appointment. Fill out the online application and get your ctcLink ID number! If you have not attended EvCC in the past two quarters, you will need to apply again. Please make sure to enter the name of your program on the application (GED, High School Completion, HS+, etc). You MUST HAVE a ctcLink ID number to sign up for Advising. Please allow 5-10 business days for processing.

Submit Transcript

If you would like to earn your high school diploma, please submit your high school transcript. You can email an unofficial copy to hsc@everettcc.edu or mail an official copy to Everett Community College: ATTN: HSC Program, 2000 Tower St., Everett, WA 98201. You will need an official copy before receiving your diploma.
The GED is a test. We have classes you can take to prepare for it if you are worried you won't pass. PLEASE SKIP  this step if you just want to take classes to prepare for your GED.

Advising/Orientation

New students:

Summer quarter is now full. For GED/Pre-college orientation, please click here to see important dates and deadlines for upcoming quarters

Why do you need an orientation appointment? This session is when you will complete mandatory placement testing and register for classes. The testing will help our advisors to place you into the best level of classes for you. You do not need to study before your appointment, it is not pass or fail. Please make sure you have a student ID (ctcLink) before booking an appointment (see step 1). At the orientation, you will also get your campus Canvas login and activate your ctcLink account. The session will take 3 hours and be in-person only. Please be prepared to stay for the entire time. We will be unable to provide childcare during the appointment. Please do not bring children/family/guests. Fall quarter classes will begin September 22.

High School Completion Advising Appointments

Returning/current students:

If you are a returning student but did not take classes during Spring 2025 or Summer 2025, you will need to complete the orientation again for Fall 2025.

If you have been an EvCC student within the last 6 months, registration for Summer quarter will open on June 3.
Classes begin July 1. The last day to register for Summer quarter classes online by yourself via ctcLink without instructor permission is July 3. If you need assistance, please come to our office by 3pm on June 30.
Please be aware that classes fill up fast and may not be available the longer you wait to register. Please view the ctcLink guides for assistance.
If you are a current student registered in Spring 2025 and want to skip summer, you can register for fall quarter starting June 3. Summer quarter students will register for fall in August.

Orientation

If you are completing your high school diploma, GED, or taking any pre-college classes, you are required to complete an online orientation to the college in addition to the in-person orientation/advising session in step 3. This online orientation is an introduction to the college and is different from the advising orientation in step 3.

Please allow 2-3 business days for processing after you complete orientation. You will receive an email when your record is updated.

Register & Pay

Once you have selected your classes, be sure to register and pay for your classes on ctcLink.
