The EvCC Art department is thrilled to present our Spring Showcase! The showcase is a collection of events to show off our talented students in Graphic & Web Design, Studio Arts, Photography, and Ceramics. Below is an outline of the various events in the showcase, along with dates, times, locations, and links to relevant pages.
The Arts Showcase | Thursday June 5th, 3pm-6pm
Join us in the White Horse Hall critique space as we celebrate our talented students and show off some of the work they've created this year. The Annual Showcase is a mix of work from both majors and students who have taken art elective courses this year. We'll have light refreshments and free open studio demos. Included in this years showcase are:
- Photography AFA students from the Photo 212 will be presenting their thesis work on the walls around White Horse.
- Graduating Porfolios from the Art 295 class who will be presenting their work digitially in the critique space.
- Graphics, Studio Art, and Ceramics desplays in the critique space.

Students from the Art Club and across campus will be selling their artwork and other hand crafted items in the White Horse Hall. Stop by the lobby and shop this pop-up event for a chance to pick up some stunning decore for your home and office. The event is cash only.
Vibrations Magazine Launch | June 5th at 3pm in the Critique space
Every year, the students from our Booklabs (Graph 252) class work together to collect examples of creative writing and artwork made by our students. They then publish the selected works every spring in the award winning Vibrations magazine. Join us during the showcase for the launch of this years edition. The magazine is free but only available while supplies last, so don't miss your chance!
Graduating Gallery Showcase | Russell Day Gallery through June 16th.
Stop by the Russell Day Gallery located in the new Cascade Learning Center just off of Broadway Ave to see some of the increadible work made by our graduating students. We only get our students for a few short years before they move on to the next phase of their journey, but we're so proud of the work they make while they're here. Stop by the Gallery to help us celebrate all they've acheived in their time at EvCC.

Evolving Influences and Ethics of A.I. and ART
Are you curious about the use of Artificial Intelligence in Art? Concerned?
Join us for an informal open panel discussion on the topic of A.I. and Art. EvCC Student's, Faculty, and Staff will be discussing the recent development of AI applications (like Dall-E, generating images, Lensa, ChatGPT), how they're created, and how they work. Our discussion will be focused on the effect these programs will have on the future of art, design, and journalism.
Panelists included Tyler Corbridge, Christina Blomberg, Yoohyn Cheon, Samuel Case, and Chris Larson, with Linda Berkley moderating.
