Drawing courses emphasize the principles and elements of the visual arts through the investigation of materials and techniques. Focusing on the development of observational drawing skills and the manipulation of media for representation, students use perspective, form, line, value, shape, space, proportion, and scale to define the three-dimensional world on a two-dimensional surface. Advanced courses include the exploration and effects of mixed media, color, composition, content, expression and professional presentation.
