Program Map for Nursing DTA/MRP

The Associate in Nursing DTA/MRP prepares a student for licensure as a registered nurse through Washington State community and technical colleges, as well as for entry into a Bachelor of Science in Nursing completion degree. Students admitted to a university with the Associate in Nursing DTA/MRP will be granted senior status upon passage of the licensing exam, the NCLEX-RN.

Note: In order to work as a Registered Nurse, students must possess a Washington State Nursing license.  This license is granted to students who complete the nursing program and pass the NCLEX exam.

To make a nursing advising appointment, you must be a current student, (enrolled in classes for the present quarter), and be assigned to a nursing adviser by the Advising Center. Once students have met these steps, they will need to contact their assigned adviser by phone or email to set up their appointments. Use this link to the faculty directory to find their contact information.

The nursing program does not use the Starfish system to set up advising appointments, but you can use it to find out who your adviser is, or if you have been assigned one by logging in to Starfish, then clicking on “My Success Network.”

Advising sessions are limited in time, so we highly recommend that students gather as much information as possible through our website, and come prepared with specific questions and goals for their appointment.

CHECKLISTS

Notes on using this map:

* indicates an elective course that is recommended but not required and could be substituted with another appropriate course. For example, ENGL& 102* on a map means that ENGL& 102* is recommended, but any 5-credit course from the Basic Communication Skills list on the DTA would also be acceptable.

indicates a pre-requisite relationship. For example, MATH&141→ MATH&142 on a map indicates that a student must pass MATH& 141 before taking MATH& 142

(F, W, Sp, Su) indicates the quarters in which a course is offered, if not offered every quarter. For example, ART 116 (W) means that ART 116 is only offered during Winter quarters

TS stands for Transitional Studies. Courses taken through the Transitional Studies department do not qualify for financial aid but cost only $25 per quarter. To see if you qualify, contact the Advising Center at advising@everettcc.edu or 425-388-9339.

& as part of a course number (e.g. ACCT& 202) indicates that the course is part of the Common Course Numbering System

D as part of a course number (e.g. ENGL& 102D) indicates that the course fulfills the Diversity Course requirement for the AAS-DTA degree
