Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration 2026

3rd Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Food Drive

The Legacy of Dr. King: “Whatever affects one directly, happens to all indirectly”

"If you can’t be a sun, be a star. For it isn’t by size that you WIN or FAIL. Be the best of whatever you are” - Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Let’s honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. National Day of Service at Everett Community College with a campus-wide food drive in support of the EvCC Food Pantry on January 21, 2026. This day of service calls on students, staff, faculty, administrators, and community members to take collective action against one of Washington State’s most persistent equity gaps: food insecurity. Dr. King taught that justice is interconnected and that the well-being of one person impacts all of us. In that spirit, this food drive centers sustainable community care, mutual aid, and shared responsibility to support members of our campus community experiencing hunger. This event is open to all EvCC students, staff, faculty, administrators, and community members. Light refreshments will be provided for volunteers

- Drive through and walk up options will be available for accessibility!

- Please follow the signs to use the drive-through to drop off your donations. Thank you for your support!
