Which dual credit program is right for me?

You answered that you're not currently attending high school, but you'd like to earn college credit and finish your high school diploma at the same time. You can do both! Here are some options for you.

Youth Re-Engagement (U3)

For students ages 16-20 who do not have a high school diploma. Students in U3 can earn a high school diploma and college degree. Program pays for tuition, books, and required supplies. Available at EvCC’s Everett campus.

  • Eligible Students: Ages 16-20 without a high school diploma. Running Start students are not eligible for this program. 
  • Location: EvCC main campus in Everett
  • Cost: Free
  • Courses: Academic transfer and professional/technical courses
  • Schedule: Fall, Winter, and Spring quarters
  • Placement: Minimum 8th grade reading level
  • Application Process: Attend an information meeting and complete the application packet. An orientation assessment will determine eligibility.

High School Completion

For students 16 years and older who do not have a high school diploma. Take high school or college-level classes to meet state high school graduation requirements. 

  • Eligible Students: Ages 16+ without a high school diploma. Running Start students are not eligible for this program. 
  • Location: EvCC main campus in Everett and EvCC's East County Campus
  • Cost: Tuition and fees; Transitional Studies courses are $25. Textbooks provided in some classes.
  • Courses: Academic transfer and professional/technical courses
  • Schedule: Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer quarters (8-10 weeks)
  • Placement: Must meet with a High School Completion Advisor and submit a high school transcript to Transitional Studies. Students may need to take the CASAS test. 
  • Application Process: Submit the EvCC general application. Obtain an official copy of high school transcripts and meet with a High School Completion Advisor.
