Foster Youth and Unaccompanied Homeless Youth
EvCC Connect offers support services, guiding former foster youth and unaccompanied homeless youth in their journey of completing a post-secondary education. We want to support you in your aspirations while you develop a belongingness in the EvCC Connect program and EvCC community.
EvCC Connect collaborates closely with the TRiO program to offer the following services:
- Academic advising
- Career counseling
- Personal counseling
- Community development
- Financial Aid navigation
- Transfer assistance
- Cultural and educational events
- Tutoring
- Financial assistance (as eligible)
At EvCC, you can use your college experience to:
- Examine and explore your career options
- Complete a career training program
- Prepare for university transfer
- Nurture and grow your talents both individually and as a collective
- Develop long-lasting friendships and professional relationships
- Share your community cultural wealth
- Join one of our athletic teams
- Contribute to our diverse communities through student clubs and activities
- Acquire work experience by obtaining a job on campus
Additionally, we can assist you in learning about and applying for special financial assistance to cover your college expenses, housing and living costs.
