We are committed to promoting an inclusive, equitable and safe campus climate, with a focus on the elimination of gaps in aspiration, access, achievement, engagement and economic progress for underserved and underrepresented populations. Social justice guides the Division in upholding Everett Community College’s Vision, Mission and Institutional Strategic Plan.
The Office of Diversity and Equity provides institutional leadership on issues of diversity, equity and inclusion. Everett Community College’s commitment and responsibility to foster diverse, equitable and inclusive working and learning environments are set forth in the Institutional Strategic Plan. Through its Vision, Mission, Core Values and Core Themes, Everett Community College’s Strategic Plan outlines a clear commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion within a campus culture of respect, advocacy and engagement for all.
Everett Community College is dedicated to ensuring that our learning, teaching, and working environments within our community are safe, respectful, and free from all forms of discrimination. Title IX specifically works to ensure that our environment is free from sex discrimination. Sex discrimination includes, but is not limited to, sexual harassment, sexual violence, domestic and intimate partner violence, and stalking. The Title IX Coordinator leads efforts to ensure the institution meets all federal Title IX requirements developed to prohibit discrimination based on sex, gender identity or expression, pregnancy or parental status, martial stats, and sexual orientation. Title IX applies to all students, employees, and guests of our campus community. This work also includes prevention efforts, training opportunities, support services, and increasing awareness overall regarding Title IX and discrimination related issues. For more information, visit the Title IX webpage or contact Becky Lamboley, Title IX Coordinator, Olympus Hall 207, 425-388-9271, or TitleIXCoordinator@everettcc.edu.
The Diversity & Equity Center combines the programs and services of the Multicultural Student Success Center and Women's Programs and Services to recruit, retain, and graduate students of color, re-entry women, and LGBTQ students. The Center also serves as a campus resource center on diversity and coordinates institutional diversity initiatives. The mission of the Diversity & Equity Center is to advocate for the academic success of our students; educate our campus and community about diversity, and celebrate our differences.

Equity Weekly is a commitment and a challenge to read one article per week on topics such as equity, privilege, civil engagement, social change, color blindness, etc. Every week a new article, documentary, or similar resource is emailed out to campus through the Daily Digest. EvCC's Library Media Center has created a LibGuides for easy access to current and past articles. Do you have an Equity Weekly suggestion? Please email Becky Lamboley at email@example.com.
