Career Resources

The EvCC Counseling & Student Success (CSS) website serves you as a launching pad for your career pathway. While all attempts have been made to verify the information that you can access through the links provided by the CSS website, CSS does not assume responsibility for errors, omissions or contrary interpretation of any subject matter linked to this Internet site.

Have you ever had these questions or had these feelings?

  • Why am I going to EvCC?
  • What program am I interested in?
  • What am I going to do when I graduate?
  • I'm just beginning; I don't know who to talk to or what questions to ask.
  • Will I need to transfer to a 4-year school?
  • I'd like to explore a new direction.
  • Where is information about job/careers?

These questions can really be challenging! We invite you to meet with one of our friendly and knowledgeable counselors and staff - we are happy to guide you through your journey of career exploration.

Students can use the CSS for personal help in obtaining information on programs, careers, educational preparation, future outlook, wages, job search skills, and so much more. A wide range of career resources are available for free use including books, catalogs, and WOIS (Washington State Occupational Information System). Students also use our extensive educational resources to research all the technical issues of transferring to other institutions of higher learning.

The Career Services has evaluation tools available to explore interests, activities, values and personality traits. Some tools are free, others have a fee. Counselors offer assessments to currently registered students by appointment. Our Human Development 110 Career and Life Planning classes also offer career assessment as part of the curriculum.
