Healthcare Risk Management Program Outcomes

  1. Engage and take responsibility as active learners: Students will be actively engaged in small group in-class discussions, complete homework assignments as well as standard and hybridized testing.
  2. Think critically: Students will be expected to integrate and differentiate between concepts discussed in one context to other contexts as they develop their fundamental concepts of terminology used within health care. Students will be provided with simulated clinical experiences, homework assignments, projects, role play scenarios, and testing situations.
  3. Communicate effectively: Students will develop the organizational and research skills necessary to write and speak effectively.  The students will demonstrate awareness of different audiences, styles, and approaches to oral and written communication.
  4. Utilize information literacy skills: Students will use references, both in paper and computer, to research additional information needed for homework, in-class discussions, projects, and laboratory activities.
