Medical Assistant Enrollment

Before You Register for Class

The following items must be satisfactorily completed before your first quarter of enrollment:

Immunizations and Background Check Procedures for the Medical Assistant Program

All immunization documentation and criminal background checks for the Medical Assistant program must go through Complio  If you plan to take the Pre-Extern Group (PEG) classes, you must have your immunization records uploaded into this system and have your documentation approved in order to receive a permission code for these classes.

The immunization account is active for one year at a cost of $18. The background check starts at $60 and can increase if you have lived in several counties or states. The background check is valid for six months from the completion date. You will be notified by your instructor when to start your Criminal Background Check. This notification will occur while in the PEG classes. Your Complio   account and the Criminal Background Check need to be complete in order to receive a permission code to register for HLTH 251. Here are directions on how to create your account and upload your immunizations. Please look over the Clinical Passport Acrobat PDF Reader Icon  Clinical Passport Tutorial  Acrobat PDF Reader Icon, and TB information Acrobat PDF Reader Icon  letter before visiting your health care provider for clarification on the immunizations required. Also note that the Hepatitis B immunizations and testing can take up to eight months to complete, if you have never had any vaccinations in this series.
