"Brushes and Bubbles" offers a refreshing twist on the traditional paint-and-sip concept by providing participants with various sodas to enhance their creative experience. Attendees can indulge in a selection of fizzy and flavorful beverages while expressing their artistic flair on canvas. This event is brought to you by the Trojan Activities Board (TAB). 

What to Expect: 

Canvas Creativity: Participants of all skill levels can create their masterpieces in a relaxed and supportive environment. Sodas: Sip and savor a selection of non-alcoholic beverages, carefully chosen to complement the creative process. 

Community Connection: "Brushes and Bubbles" is more than an art event; it's a chance to make new friends and celebrate the joy of artistic expression.

Creative Exploration: "Brushes and Bubbles" encourages participants to explore their creativity in a fun and social setting, making it the perfect event for seasoned artists and those new to the world of painting.

Tired from studying for classes, or doing homework all the time? Take a break, and have a laugh. Trojan Activities Board (TAB) invites you to enjoy a standup comedy show that is guaranteed to take your mind off of classes!

Prepare for a rollercoaster of laughter as comedian Ben Palmer brings his unique blend of humor writing and stand up comedy to the stage in an unforgettable LIVE show on February 29 from 5:30-6:30pm in Jackson 101. From humble beginnings as an online humor writer at the age of 19, to becoming a sensation in the world of stand-up comedy, Ben has crafted a one-of-a-kind performance that has taken the comedy scene by storm.

Ben’s comedic journey began with a Myspace blog at the age of 19, where he first explored the world of humor writing. At 21, he took the plunge into stand-up comedy with his debut performance at Funny Stop Comedy Club in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. Since then, he has become a regular at premier comedy clubs and independent shows in Atlanta, Georgia, honing his craft and winning over audiences with his sharp wit and comedic timing.

Do you need further incentive beyond an evening full of laughter? If you are an EVCC student, you can enter a free drawing to win a $50 VISA gift card. The drawing will be held directly following the performance and the winner must be present to win.

Calling all craft enthusiasts and candle connoisseurs! The EvCC Art Club is thrilled to announce its upcoming event, the "Wicked Wax Workshop", where creativity and fragrance collide for an afternoon of fun and DIY magic.

At the "Wicked Wax Workshop," EvCC students will have the exciting opportunity to roll up their sleeves, dive into the world of candle making, and unleash their inner artisan—all for FREE! You will have access to a variety of delightful scents to choose from, ensuring that each candle is as unique as its creator. From soothing lavender to zesty citrus, there's a fragrance for every preference. With guidance from experienced club members, attendees will learn the art of candle making while having a blast experimenting with different scents and designs.

This workshop, taking place on Wednesday, February 28, from 1:30-3:30pm in the Japanese Cultural Resource Center, is all about spreading the joy of creativity and showing folks how easy it can be to make something special with your own two hands. Lip Balm and Bath Bomb Valentine's Day Crafting Hosted By SEA

The SEA Club (Students for Environmental Action Club) is hosting a make-your-own lip balm and bath bomb workshop to demonstrate how to make sustainable Valentine's Day gifts. They invite you to come create gifts rather than buy them at this FREE EVENT on Feb. 7 in the Japanese Cultural Resource Center (JCRC). Learn how to make lip balm and bath bombs while you meet new friends and save the planet! All materials and instructions will be provided. 

SEA is all about promoting environmental awareness and having fun while learning about current sustainability initiatives.

Dante King portraitEvCC's Equity & Social Justice Division and the Equity and Social Justice Committee are pleased to welcome acclaimed scholar, educator, author and speaker Dante King to EvCC as part of our Black History Month observances.

Dante King, author of "The 400 Year Holocaust," untangles the complexities of whiteness, anti-blackness and racism, and particularly illuminates the systemic and often subtle structures that perpetuate inequality. His work also unveils the cultural forces at work behind the backlash against the tools of academic theoretical inquiry and academic freedom itself.

Mr. King will present on Feb. 28 and 29 on "Examining the Organizational and Brand Value of Whiteness, Racial Politics, and Anti-Blackness in America."

  • Student Workshop: 3-6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28, Jackson Center Wilderness Room: This session is for students only. Lecture style with questions and answers.

Visit any 3 clubs for a stamp on your card and stop by Doug’s Wire Writing for a unique art form of a single piece of wire magically bent into any requested shape — names, dates, phrases, titles, pictures, symbols, etc. – right before your eyes! There will be candy and drinks provided along with arts and crafts!  You can also learn how to get involved on campus while checking out the tables hosted by your EvCC clubs.

Hey Trojans! Have you ever experienced a sense of not being welcomed or felt a lack of belonging in your environment? Take this chance to check out “Empower Your Journey” with Candace Olusola. Learn more about self-potential and positive change along with how to identify and dismantle unconscious bias. 

The Trojan Activities Board is excited to extend an invitation for an engaging discussion with Candace Olusola! As a member of the Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) task force of the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy, Candace Olusola uses her background to help students develop a toolkit to unveil unconscious bias in race, gender, sexuality, and ableism. She will then provide an implementable process to dismantle the unconscious bias, critically self-reflect, and have the confidence to become a catalyst for change on campus. As a certified life coach, content creator, and pharmacist, she imparts insightful wisdom drawn from her own life experiences and those of others. A Q&A session will be hosted at the end of the talk by Candace for any further questions.

ABSTRCTN is a duo of Caribbean-American brothers, Jas & Jame, from Auburn, WA. They captivate their audience with their witty banter and eclectic energy. Ranging from sensual acoustic rnb to west coast trap, you may not be able to predict what you’ll see from them but they will always satisfy the soul. In 2022 they performed over 50 shows in 4 states and 2 countries. Some of their most notable venues include Neumos, The Crocodile, Nectar Lounge, The Egyptian Theater, and Stankonia Studios. On Wednesday, February 7th, the Trojan Women's Basketball Team starts the 2nd half of the 2024 league season by traveling to Edmonds College in Lynnwood, WA. The "T" Trophy Game with the Tritons will start at 5:00pm in Seaview Gymnasium, followed by the Men's game at 7:00pm. 

The "T" Trophy Rivalry was started in 2018-19. The Trojans and Tritons face each other 21 times in regulars season competition, throughout the year across 9 teams. Points are earned for wins against the other with a winner designated in the Spring of each year. Black History Month: Barbershop & Beauty Salon Fundraiser

The Barbership & Beauty Salon Fundraiser is part of EvCC's Black History Month events, organized by the Diversity & Equity Center.

Barbershops and beauty salons are places where Black people of all ages can gather in a relaxing space to get more than just a new hairstyle. These places house
conversations about our daily lives, neighborhoods and the future of our community.

At this talk, industry veterans and students will come together with music and discussion. It is a place to uplift one another through courageous conversations and will be an oasis of support and encouragement.

Haircuts, a selection of hairstyles, manicures, and food will be available to purchase in order to support the African Diaspora Club and Black Student Union. Cash only.

The Sasquatch of the Community Colleges of Spokane Baseball Team will be in town on Saturday and Sunday, February 24th & 25th to play a four game series with the Trojans. The non-league games one & two will be on Saturday the 24th, starting at 2:00pm and games three & four will be on Sunday the 25th, starting at 12:00pm. Games two & four will start about 30 minutes after games one and three end. All games will be played at Everett Memorial Stadium - Funko Field - 3802 Broadway. Entrance from the North side parking lot only.

The Trojan Men's Basketball Team starts the 2nd half of the 2024 league season by traveling to Edmonds College in Lynnwood, WA on Wednesday, February 7th. This "T" Trophy Game with the Tritons will start at 7:00pm in Seaview Gymnasium, following the Women's game that starts at 5:00pm.

The "T" Trophy Rivalry was started in 2018-19. The Trojans and Tritons face each other 21 times in regulars season competition, throughout the year across 9 teams. Points are earned for wins against the other with a winner designated in the Spring of each year. College Goal Washington is a free, on-site program that helps students and families complete the 2024-25 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form that is required to apply for federal financial assistance for higher education. For undocumented students, help is also available with filling out the 2024-25 Washington Application for State Financial Aid (WASFA). Staff will also be available to help attendees apply for college admissions to Everett Community College or other colleges. Assistance will be available in English and Spanish. Parents/guardians are strongly encouraged to attend with their students; however, students may attend alone. Each student will need to bring as many of the parent/guardian items as possible.
