CHS Course Placement Information
Placement and Prerequisites
High School teachers will be responsible to verify that placement/prerequisite has been met using the Alternative Math Placement Model, SBA score report (Math or English), SAT/PSAT (English), and/or ACT (English). Teachers may perform the verification or ask their Registrar or counselor for assistance.
To place in English 101 from the SAT/PSAT test students need a score of 480 on the Evidenced based reading/writing portion of the test.
To place in English 101 from the ACT test students need a score of 19 in both the reading and writing portions of the test.
To place in English 101 or college-level math using the Smarter Balanced Assessment.
