Eligibility for Financial Aid

In general, you are eligible for financial aid if you meet the following requirements:

  1. You are a U.S. citizen or an eligible noncitizen.
  2. You demonstrate financial need (for most programs).
  3. You are not in default on any student loan and do not owe a repayment on any grant received at any institution or higher education.
  4. You have a high school diploma, GED certificate, or equivalent.
  5. You enroll in a program of study that leads to a degree or certificate at EvCC and is at least one calendar year or more in length. (Aid for correspondence courses may be available on a limited basis).
  6. You maintain satisfactory academic progress
  7. You are registered with Selective Service, if required.
  8. You have a valid Social Security number.

Federal law suspends aid eligibility for students who have been convicted under federal or state law of the sale or possession of drugs.
