Student Housing Payment - Frequently Asked Questions

When is the deadline to pay?

It depends on when you move in:

  • If moving in prior to the start of the quarter: Payment is due by the tenth day of the quarter OR you must be enrolled in a payment plan in ctcLink, and have made your first payment.
  • If moving in after the start of the quarter: Payment is due within ten days of moving in

The designated move-in date for you will be included in an informational email that is sent to you after you apply for housing. The move-in date will vary depending on domestic/international status and school you are enrolled in (i.e., WSU-North Puget Sound students move in earlier). All move-ins occuring prior to the Saturday before classes begin will accrue an additional rent cost.

What is a damage deposit?

The damage deposit is a one-time fee that is paid only during your first quarter of occupancy. This damage deposit is held in escrow during your time in student housing. At the time of check out, any damages beyond normal wear and tear or past due payments are deducted from your deposit. Depending on the condition of your room, your full or partial deposit will be refunded to you. This process may take up to 6 weeks to complete, so we request your patience. To avoid a delay in receiving your refund, it is important to visit www.everettcc.edu/myevcc and click the "Student Contact Information" link to update your address.

If you paid for your damage deposit using a credit/debit card, your refund will be paid back to the credit/debit card used for payment. If this account is no longer active or if you paid with cash, check, or money order - your refund will be sent as a check to the address listed in your "MyEvCC" account.

If you are an international student that is returning permanently to their home country, please email housing@everettcc.edu for more information about receiving your refund via a wire transfer.

What is an administrative fee?

The administrative fee is a one-time fee that is paid during your first quarter of occupancy. This is a non-refundable fee that is used to cover the cost of student housing administrative and staff support, along with the cost of deep cleaning your room after check out.

Note: This fee covers the cost of one deep cleaning when you move out of our facilities. If you change rooms at any point, you are charged $100 to cover the cost of that room clean.

How can I use my Financial Aid to pay for Student Housing?

Any amount owed for your college tuition and/or fees will be deducted first from your financial aid award amount. Any remaining financial aid will be deducted to pay for student housing.

Important! If/when you receive a refund check, please check to make sure that your full student housing payment has been made. Doing this will ensure that you do not have an unanticipated amount which is still owed.

How will I know if I have enough Financial Aid to pay for Student Housing?

Because our staff does not have access to your financial aid information, you will need to check your financial aid portal to ensure that you have the enough financial aid to pay for tuition, fees, and student housing. For more information or to ask specific questions about your financial aid, please contact the Financial Aid Office directly.

Are there payment plans available for student housing?

Yes!  You can set those up via CTCLink or with the Cashiers Office.
