Michael Collier

Michael Collier is a poet and editor who teaches English and Creative Writing at the University of Maryland. He has been the Director of the Bread Loaf Writer’s Conference in Middlebury, Vermont, since 1995. His books include The Clasp and The Folded Heart, published by Wesleyan University Press; The Neighbor, from University of Chicago Press; and, most recently, The Ledge, from Houghton-Mifflin. A poet of many honors and awards and national acclaim, we are pleased and fortunate to welcome him to Everett Community College.

David Wagner

A reading with esteemed Northwest poet David Wagoner, longtime editor of Poetry Northwest and Professor of Creative Writing at the University of Washington since the early 1960s. A fellow of the American Academy of Poets, winner of the Ruth Lilly Prize from Poetry magazine, his most recent book is Walt Whitman Bathing, from the University of Illinois Press.
