The ASB Senate typically meets every other Friday to discuss student issues and concerns at both the college and state levels, as well as conduct business, including student budget proposals, feedback for the college administration, and reports on college and Senate committee work. Senate positions are available from fall through spring at EverettCC.edu/Leadership.

    Become a Senator

    You can elect yourself to serve on the ASB Student Senate. To become an ASB senator, you must meet the minimum requirements:

    • Currently enrolled EvCC student
    • Maintain and complete a minimum of five credits.
    • Maintain a quarterly/cumulative GPA of at least 2.5.

    The Student Senate process is outlined in Article IV of the ASB Constitution By- Laws requires that the student complete the steps as listed below in the following order:

    1. Complete the senate application. 
    2. Submit a letter of recommendation OR get 30 signatures from currently enrolled EvCC students and two signatures from members of the Executive Council.
    3. Receive confirmation of eligibility from the ASB Vice President of Administration. 
    4. Attend two consecutive senate meetings as a non-voting member. 
    5. Complete a new senator orientation with the ASB Vice President of Administration.
    6. Complete EvCC’s hiring or volunteer paperwork. 
    7. Attend your first meeting as an ASB Senator!

    The Associated Student Body (ASB) Senate Meetings are held in GWH 166/168 from 2:30-4:30pm.
