Congraulations on being close to completing your degree or certificate! For EvCC to award a degree or certificate, you must complete a Graduation Application. That way we know you are almost finished with your program and are ready to graduate. If you want to participate in the June Commencement (Graduation) Ceremeony, you must also RSVP with Student LIFE. More information about the RSVP process is further down on this page.
Enrollment Services will accept Graduation Applications from students on a continuous basis. For the fastest processing of your application, please make sure to indicate your major or program on your Graduation Application. The Graduation Application is available here and is free to complete. Please allow up to four weeks for processing. Applications deadlines are:
- Summer Quarter 2016 - April 1, 2016
- Fall Quarter 2016 - August 4, 2016
- Winter Quarter 2017 - October 28, 2016
- Spring Quarter 2017 - February 3, 2017
The College holds one Commencement event each June. Some programs, such as Nursing, hold separate events. Commencement information is mailed after you submit your graduation application; information includes date, time and location, how to obtain invitations, how to order a gown, and more.
If you are planning to attend the Commencement Ceremony in June, be sure to RSVP with Student LIFE.
Once a student has completed all the requirements and grades are finalized, the notation of the certificate or degree will be added to the transcript. Depending on the time of year, you should receive your diploma in the mail in 6-8 weeks.
For students graduating Spring 2016, diplomas will be mailed out in mid-August for students who applied by the deadline. Students can view their degree by going to MyEvCC and clicking on Unofficial Transcript.
You will graduate with distinction if your cumulative GPA is:
- President's Distinction 4.00
- High Distinction 3.60 - 3.99
- Distinction 3.20 - 3.59
