Submitting Documents Remotely
We take the security of your personal information seriously. Emailing documents is not secure and risks a potential data breach. You should submit any documents with sensitive information such as your social security number or birth date either via fax (425-388-9185), U.S. mail, or encrypted email. Your current email provider may offer an encryption option. The campus email provider is Gmail.

  1. On your computer, go to Gmail.
  2. Click Compose.
  3. In the bottom right of the window, click Turn on confidential mode.
  4. Set an expiration date and passcode. These settings impact both the message text and any attachments.
  5. Save.
  • Be sure to send the document via e-mail to fin_aid@everettcc.edu then send a separate e-mail detailing the password information. The Financial Aid Office will not be able to open the document unless you provide the correct password.
  •  If you choose to zip the file, right-click the shortcut icon and select Send To then Compressed (zipped) Folder.  This will create a new zipped version of your file and you can send it via email to the Financial Aid Office.
  • If a document is received that has not been password protected, we may contact you to send a new document.

Acceptable Documentation for verification of tax information:
1.      Request a transcript directly from the IRS.

2.     If you (or your parents) are unable to obtain an IRS Tax Return Transcript, we will accept a signed copy of the income tax return (1040) that the tax filer submitted to the IRS or other tax authorities to verify FAFSA/ISIR income and tax return information.
