The game against the Cardinals will begin at 5:00pm on Sigmar Soccer Field. The Women's game will follow at 7:15pm. Everett Community College, get ready to jumpstart the new academic year with energy and excitement! Student LIFE is thrilled to invite all EvCC students to our annual Fall Kick-Off, a must-attend event that celebrates the start of the quarter and everything that makes campus life vibrant at EvCC.

Explore everything Student LIFE has to offer! Whether you’re a returning student or new to campus, the Student LIFE Fall Kick-Off is the perfect way to start the year! This event promises an exciting mix of entertainment, campus resources, and opportunities to get involved in campus life. Taking place on Thursday, October 2, from 11am-2pm on the Index Lawn, the event will feature live music from a DJ, free food and treats, and a range of engaging activities designed to help you meet new people and find your niche at EvCC.

One of the highlights is the addition of a free petting zoo! A fun and unique way to take a break between classes and interact with some furry friends. Students can also take part in epic lawn games and stop by the ‘Over the Line Art’ tent to receive a free custom caricature to take home. FREE swag giveaways will be given out throughout the event, and the prize wheel will be back with new, exciting items for lucky spinners.

The Student LIFE team, including Student Ambassadors, the Publicity Team, the Trojan Activities Board (TAB), and Student Government members, will be on-site to share information on how students can get involved on campus. Whether you’re interested in joining a club, joining the Student Senate, or learning more about upcoming events, the Student LIFE tent is your go-to place for involvement! You are also encouraged to follow @evcclife on social media to stay informed and connected throughout the year.

TAB wants to hear from YOU! Stop by the Trojan Activities Board (TAB) tent to tell us what kinds of events and experiences you’d like to see on campus! Open to all EvCC students, The Associated Student Body (ASB) Senate Meetings are held in Gray Wolf Hall, Room 166/168 from 2:30-4:30pm. The ASB Senate meets to discuss student issues and concerns at both the college and state level, as well as conduct business which includes the student budget proposals, reports on the college and Senate committee work, and provide feedback to the College Administration. Come provide input, share concerns, and gain valuable leadership skills, while enhancing your resume, college and scholarship applications.

If you would like to become an ASB Student Senator, you must meet the minimum requirements & complete the "self-elect" process.

The Trojan Men's & Women's Cross Country Teams will travel south to Oregon for a meet on Saturday, October 4th. Both teams will be there to participate in the 2025 Charles Bowles Invitational that is hosted by Willamette University. This meet will take place at McCulloch Stadium and Bush's Pasture Park in Salem, OR. The Men's 8K race will start the morning off beginning at 9:30am, with the Women's 5K race beginning at 10:20am.

Trojans! Autumn is in the air, and TAB is bringing in the perfect way to celebrate the season, a live performance from the talented singer-songwriter, Max Minardi. Whether you’re looking to relax between classes, enjoy a treat, or simply be surrounded by good music and good people, this event is for you! Max Minardi, a singer-songwriter based in Chico, California, began his musical career in his local bars and casinos, singing covers from a variety of music genres. As his performances
started to evolve into something bigger, it became his full-time career. While following his passion for music, it took him across the U.S. and even overseas! Now, as his full-time career, he plays roughly 200 shows each year, including at bars, restaurants, parties, and even weddings! Beyond just performing covers, he started to write his own songs with a blend of American Folk, Indie, and Roots music, mainly taking inspiration from artists such as Paul Simon, Iron & Wine, James Taylor, Ben Howard, and Ray Lamontagne. Some of his most popular songs include: “Empty Glass,” “Kinda Over Love,” “Young & Green,” “Stronger Than The Earth,” and
“Hunting.”

It’s Autumn Trojans, and you know what that means! It’s time to stay flu-free, and this year Everett Community College is happy to announce another on-campus Flu and COVID-19 Booster Vaccination Clinic in partnership with the Seattle Visiting Nurse Association (SVNA). This clinic will be a convenient way for all current EvCC Students, Staff, and Faculty to protect themselves and the people around them this Flu season!

The Vaccination Clinic will be held on Monday, October 13, 2025, in the Trojan Annex, located within the Parks Student Union building. SVNA will offer vaccinations from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm. Both the Flu Vaccine and the COVID-19 Booster Vaccines will be available to all current EvCC Students, Staff, and Faculty.

Bring your physical Insurance Card (if applicable) and Photo ID.
Students under the age of 18 must have a guardian's consent form signed, which will be included in the registration link when selecting an appointment time.

 Flu Vaccine:

• EvCC students WITH insurance must bring their insurance card and photo ID to ensure their plans are billed directly.
   
• For EvCC Students WITHOUT insurance, a limited number of Flu Vaccines will be subsidized by Student LIFE. If you qualify for a subsidized Flu Vaccine, please present your Student ID, photo ID, and a copy of your current EvCC registration. A $10 cash fee will be collected.

EvCC International Students: The SVNA is not a preferred provider for Cigna, the insurance company for EvCC International Students. Cigna will cover 80% of the at-cost vaccination price, which is $55 for the Flu Vaccine and $200 for the COVID-19 vaccine. Students would need to pay the full cost up-front and then personally bill Cigna for reimbursement using an electronic receipt provided by SVNA. Identifying a local pharmacy that is a preferred provider for Cigna may be an alternative option to consider.

We highly encourage you to take this opportunity not only to protect your own health but also to help keep our community strong. By getting vaccinated, you are helping safeguard friends, classmates, coworkers, and family members, especially those who may be more vulnerable.

Latin Heritage Fair: SABOR, COLOR, & CULTURA

Indigenous Peoples’ Day Movie Night: Indian Horse

Wednesday, October 15 • 3:00–5:00 PM

Join us in honoring Indigenous Peoples’ Day with a special screening of Indian Horse, a powerful film that follows the life of Saul Indian Horse, an Ojibway boy torn from his family and placed in a Canadian residential school. Through resilience and a love for hockey, Saul finds strength and identity amid adversity.

The "T" Trophy Rivalry was started in 2018-19. The Trojans and Tritons face each other 21 times in regulars season competition, throughout the year across 9 teams. Points are earned for wins against the other with a winner designated in the Spring of each year. Both of the races will take place at Oak Knoll Golf Course, Driving Range & RV Park. The Women's 6K Race is set to start at 10:00am with the Men's 8K Race to begin at 11:00am.

At half time of the Men's game, we will recognize our Sophomores and those that are moving on next year. The Senate Info Bites is a chance for your voice to be heard! As you eat and talk with the student government, you get the chance to learn about what the senate is currently working on and our goals for the future.
