About the CDS Office

Our Mission

The Center for Disability Services (CDS) office at Everett Community College provides a variety of accommodations for students with disabilities and academic barriers.

Everett Community College is committed to providing an equal opportunity for students with disabilities. Students may be eligible for accommodations if they have a physical, mental, psychological or sensory barrier that limits one or more major life activities.

Students should fill out a New Student Application form and provide information about their disability to the CDS Office. The CDS Office will conduct an interactive dialogue during an intake appointment with that student to determine which, if any, accommodations are appropriate while attending classes at EvCC.

The Center for Disability Services (CDS) provides accommodations for all students with documented disabling conditions who qualify for services under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act External Site Link and/or the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990External Site Link

By providing reasonable accommodations based on an individual's need for services, CDS assists students in pursuing their goals at Everett Community College. Many of these accommodations are to assist students with their academic programs. CDS also works with other departments and Student Services to ensure that all programs offered on campus are accessible to students with disabilities.
