EvCC Emergency Notification

If EvCC closes during regular business hours or experiences an emergency, information will be posted on an opening screen of the EvCC website, sent via text message for subscribers, emailed to students, faculty, and staff EvCC email accounts, and a message will be posted on the college's main phone line at 425-388-9100.

Directions for EvCC Students, Faculty and Staff

  • Go to the MyEvCC page
  • Login with your EvCC campus username and password.
  • Click on Emergency Notification in the left menu
  • Click on the red button that says Login to Emergency Notification Profile
  • Update your profile with any info you want to add, including your cell number to get text messages

Signed up but didn't get the text message?

Our alerts come from the following numbers: 226787, 67283, 78015, 77295. 

Your cell phone may think the alert message is spam. Here's how to get the message:

Apple/iOS Users

  • On your iPhone's home screen, tap the Settings menu to open it.
  • Scroll down and tap Phone.
  • Under the Call Silencing and Blocked Contacts list, tap Blocked Contacts to see which contacts are listed. Check for any of the numbers listed above. 
  • If you have Filter Unknown Contacts enabled, you will need to make a contact with the above numbers. Any missed alerts should appear in your unknown contacts filter.
  • To view filtered messages, open the Messages app, then tap Filters. On the next screen, you’ll see folders for your text messages. Tap Unknown Senders to see messages from accounts not in your Contacts list.

Android  

  • Open the Messages app
  • Click the three vertical dots at the right of the search bar
  • Select Spam & Blocked
  • Any incoming alerts in this list can be opened select them and then a dialog to mark as not spam can be chosen.

Emergency Closure 

EvCC will cancel classes and close offices if the main north Everett campus is deemed unsafe due to severe weather or other emergency conditions. For building evacuations, please follow campus announcements as they are issued. Every effort will be made to post closure information by 5 a.m. for day classes and 4 p.m. for evening classes.

Messages will only be posted if the college is closed. If a message is not posted, the college is operating on normal business hours.

If the college closes, all EvCC locations are closed and all in-person and online classes and activities are canceled. EvCC locations include the main campus in north Everett, Early Learning Center, Aviation Maintenance Technology School at Paine Field in Everett, Cosmetology in Marysville, Ocean Research College Academy (ORCA), WSU-Everett, Everett University Center, and EvCC classes taught at other locations.
